I'd agree an add punk to post-punk, unless you're classifying Stranglers and Clash as new wave/post-punk (at the time they were most certainly punk)?
But yes, a classic combo 👍
Not disagreeing re the Orange but is the same not true of all tube pres, you get that sweet spot that respond beautifully to the tiniest increase in pressure on the strings? Certainly true of all mine, although the exact setting varies with each 👍
In a rather lovely way, and typical of the great community that Basschat is, it is looking like there will be a Mesa 2x15 on the stage. @Chimike, you are a legend mate, thank you 🙏
Wow 😍
You CANNOT beat Warmoth, Fender Custom Shop get close, but Warmoth wooden bits remain the leaders. I three Warmoth necks and two bodies - all Precisions of course - and they are a wonderful mix of engineering and art 👍
Hi Luke, having played around a little more yesterday I think the M-Pulse will enable me to do all I need
1) Switch between standard gig EQ and a heavy dub EQ (switch in the para EQ)
2) Compress the dub EQ (switch in the compressor)
3) Increase the volume of the dub eq (switch in the solo channel)
But I'd like to be able to replicate those functions using the simplest pedal possible just in case I use a different amp for any reason
….and for sale, glorious beast, engineering meets art meets function, but not really me, deep down I’m just a Precision kinda guy (although I’d love a Precision with a Status neck for sure) 👍
Nice playing. Yes a rubber piece will help. Try perhaps being more in touch with the bass to provide greater stability, it might be the camera angle but it looks quite far from you?
