I disagree with both of those Tony You won't get a VVT in there without either VERY small pots, extending the cavity, or drilling a side hole for the jack socket Also a standard Precision pickguard will not need to be modified for 2 x stacked, assuming it fits correctly in the first place (@JR1000 don't make the mistake of assuming that all PBass pickguards will fit all PBass bodies)

I'm shallow, rather than spend a lot of time searching and trying, I tend to impulsively buy an instrument that calls to me - usually visually (although size is important) - and then spend a lot of time getting the set up and tone correct for me

The emotion of a song is rarely in the bassline. You might need to either find some musicians who will allow you to express yourself on your bass or compose your own work 👍
