  1. A very big part of me wants to keep this, but the part of me that need to get some cash to get my rehearsal space/studio built this summer (and which also needs to free up some space while I do it), is currently winning
  2. They'll show one in stock, and might have one in stock, but..........
  3. That stinks, and happens far too often, usually after you've paid as well. I'm pretty sure they'll be popping up in the used market way before then 🤔
  4. Am I being naive in suggesting that this is exactly why you have a mixing engineer, to correct for tracked levels using their skills with gain, EQ, compression etc?
  5. Bought the Thomann thingy @Jakester, thanks for the heads up. Often wonder why patch bays are so deep given that in theory they only need to be the depth of an XLR, at worse an XLR adapter?
  6. So did the recording engineer or the mixing engineer remove your track? None of this sounds, to use your words 'fair enough', unless there's other factors. OK, if a producer was given carte blanche by the band to produce tghe best possible version of a recording that's one thing, but an engineer removing and replacing a part played by one of the musicians is quite a step without prior agreement, especially if you're paying for the master?
  7. I understand from John East that these can run off a battery with a little bit of soldering allied to some basic electrical nous 👍
  8. Here we go..... @reggieboomboom could you provide precise dimensions for the heel, I have a body that might suit this neck very nicely Cheers Chris @Owen what were the chances eh
  9. I had the same thing happen with, bizarrely, the same model of bass @Clarky, AVRI. Bought it on here, it played fine with lightish strings, sold it on here, buyer installed some La Bellas and off went the action, not to return no matter what. The truss rod didn't break, just appeared to be on strike. It went to a luthier IIRC and some form of dark art was performed bringing it back to it's former glory. Lesson learned, stay away from high tension strings on skinny necked basses. As to your integrity and honesty old chap, never in doubt 👍
  10. The sort of part that rather than attaching to a bass you already have makes you want to buy it and then buy the rest of the parts! Beautiful piece of bass architecture there
  11. I think i have the solution, I knew I'd seen this somewhere.....
  12. That's what I'd do, in part because I'd love the drive, the bass would be the excuse 👍
  13. The flight cases for even a 3/4 DB are huge, there's a reason there's a big market for orchestral instrumental rentals
  14. Thanks @Jakester, apparently the way to do an 8-channel flip involves not a soldering iron but a sharp blade. Either way not just one but two tools with which I generally underperform badly!
  15. Thanks @Jakester I have the Art unit running into a D-25 I/P on a UAD Apollo x8p to which I’ve added a SSL Fusion using the Apollo’s D25 O/P and have 1u left to organise 16 XLRs. I can get surgical on the Art and flip 8 of the I/Os but suspect it’s not as easy as it looks, Thomann were a bit messy last time I ordered, so was hoping there might be somewhere in the UK 👍
  16. Can't find any in the UK, might be forced to make my own. Please save me and my family the pain Something like this.....
