  1. @silverfoxnik you do NOT need another amp mate But it is rather nice and rather unusual so I get it. Time to drive is not plentiful at present, very happy to send this to you on spec, pay me if you like it, send it back if you don't? Cheers Chris
  2. OK folks I'm closing this as I'm so bored with w*****s telling me I'm charging too much or not providing enough information and I really can't be arsed with it Chris
  3. Um, do you mean like........ In which case, yes I am And I don't have Facebook either 👍
  4. Rather a rare beast, designed by Marco of MarkBass fame, built in Italy, it's a versatile and well voiced unit. However, far too much gear and far too little space forces sale (studio build in progress also so money is more useful than amps at present) I'd prefer collection but can post, it is however not lightweight!
  5. Hey Ander, i have both a threaded bridge plus a set of threaded saddles/bolts/grub screws that will sit in a standard Fender BBOT bridge, might take a me a while to find them but hopefully today (we moved house recently and everything went into boxes in an outbuilding which I'm slowly working my way through at present, I need to get as much stuff gone as possible ASAP as I'm going to have to empty the outbuilding in question to build the rehearsal space hence the fire sale) 👍
  6. OK, first up some bodies (necks not included where relevant), PUPs etc included where pictured. All prices include delivery, if you want to collect from me in Whitstable we can haggle Black hand stained and waxed (by me) swamp ash, medium weight, yet to be drilled for pickguard etc £150 3TSB Squier P/J lightweight £150, the finish on this is rather nice BTW Squier Jazz, I have the piece that has chipped near the neck pocket and will repair before sending £125 Squier P/J, I have the 3-control tort pickguard for this also (jack is on side), pickguard included in price £100 No idea what this is £30 Telebass with Bareknuckle PUPs £325 Reclaimed Precision, glorious piece of wood £125 That, I think, is all the bodies. Will list necks next 👍
  7. Folks i have a lot of bass parts here as I'm always putting together and pulling apart Fender-alike bitsas. But I also have a rehearsal room/studio to build and pay for this summer and need money and no distractions so I'm going to put all bitsas builds on hold and sell all the parts here. While some of these have made lovely basses I'm taking them all apart and selling as parts. So, if you need some Fender-fit bodies/necks and various parts, keep your eyes peeled, I'm gonna be listing a LOT of bits later today 👍 Chris PS bit of a tease to keep y'all interested
  8. Recent purchase from @fluffo of this parish, just a bit too big for my needs at present. Collection preferred but can courier also. Stock photo below but will post pics of the actual unit later today. This is a very nice sounding cab, priced lower than I paid as I do need to make some space in the soon to be studio and get some cash for those very studio building costs
  9. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185801038135?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zxvVulBkR9S&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=155UlNbXQGW&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Be warned, when the seller says it’s heavy, he ain’t wrong 👍
  10. If you’ll post I’ll take it (I’ll cover courier costs)?
  11. I was thinking about you when I wrote the above post mate because I nearly wrote "There's very few of Flea's tones that you can't coax out of this", does everything from BSSM to the more mellow Jazz/flats tones of some of his more recent stuff. If I played fretted to any degree I'd keep it like this as the different PUP types and configurations are far more noticeable on a fretted with rounds than as a fretless with flats (funny thing about my frteless playing is that whichever bass I play - and when it comes to fretless I've had Precision, Jazz, 'Ray, Wal, Rick, Status, Sadowsky, and Warmoth, and they all sound like me rather than I sound like them......) Buy a lottery ticket mate, I'd love this (fretted version) to go to you 👍
  12. Temporarily sporting a Badass, a J-Retro and a very very fast MIJ 70's RI neck, in every possible way a Super Jazz (and Precision and 'Ray). There's very few bass tones that can't be squeezed out of this thing one way of another
  13. Had the bridge off today to install a Badass, this is how screw holes should be drilled. I mean everything about Sims work is outstanding, but these are a work of art (should probably have cleaned the area under the bridge before I took the photos but you get the general idea I'm sure 👍
  14. To my ear the ultimate SuperJazz: Enfield Super Quads, Badass II, J-Retro, MIJ 70's RI neck The engine room of a pretty awesome range of tones......
  15. If it's ply as he says could he have done more than just flip the aesthetics?
  16. These are outstanding instruments and worth way more than the asking price here (something that all too often happens with newish Yamahas, but which shouldn't). I get the sense that with this range it all came together at Yamaha, everything before led up to it, and everything after, no matter how good, is slightly in its shadow. In the same way that the 80's BB series and the 90 TRBs are considered true classics today, so will this be, although I'm convinced it's the best of the bunch. Buy this and you're going to be one happy bass player 👍
  17. That bass reminds me of that classic interview summary "The candidate appeared to hit rock bottom but just kept digging anyway". The guy with the sandpaper must have thought "Mmm, not sure this is going well....". But flip me, he kept on sanding didn't he
  18. Well I sincerely hope that it's not stolen, and it's nice to think someone other than a dealer got a real bargain. Had it been pre-lockdown I'd have bought it, but my dopaminergic lust for rare and beautiful gear has been tempered of late and life is somewhat easier as the result! More objectively, I doubt the owner of that business is daft, they sell a lot of expensive gear, so I suspect it's either a ringer or there's an issue, which could be anything from mechanical to legal I'd guess. I suspect either way it'll be for sale somewhere at a significant mark up very soon. And if so, I wonder if the seller will use that classic "Selling my trusty old Ric, been with me since 1978" line 🤔
  19. Hard to say Pete, sometimes these things are actually what they seem, a seller who doesn't know the value of something but needs cash, and a bloody lucky buyer. Sometimes they're not of course 🤔
