  10. Celestion speaker, Demeter transformer...
  11. I had a koa Progress 5 string that was also 36" and I could change between that and a Precision without noticing... Which was strange because I couldn't get used to the 35" of a Peavey Cirrus. I use a 34" Carvin Icon now that I can't fault. I would love to have my own made, as I used to get bass lessons from Martin Lee and remember when he started there after having his own made.

  13. Sei Flamboyant Headless was my fave, then the Wood & Tronics Vincenzio Maurogiovanni and now it's the Marleaux Contra... ...I've never owned or played any of them😊
  14. Yep... A Tokai Hardpuncher - Just sounded like a shoebox with elastic bands no matter what strings you put on it and it had a Fender USA pickup, so I now avoid Sen Ash.
  15. Yep - 19mm Carvin/Hipshot and 10mm spacing at the nut
  16. +1 TI/Roto flats have transformed a couple of my basses, but I don't really like them on my maple precision, so I'll be going back to D'Addario rounds for that one - Trial over.
  17. Gotta have these in the collection... 1) Punchy vintage sounding bass 2) 2 octave modern sounding soap bar bass 3) Fretless bass 4) 5 string bass Vintage fretless and 2 octave modern 5 is also fine.
  18. Oh my gosh - They're great for French Cricket too!! The kids don't have a chance against me now.
  19. You can get a good Precision for £300 if it's made of the 'right' timbers. I've had over a 100 basses now and those I've kept hold of are in the £750 to £1,000 bracket. My late Overwater was a bit of a luxury, but still sub £2,000.
  20. Not getting on with 5 strings you mean? I've owned a 34" Consat Custom and the B was perfect (not floppy).
