1.
That Cirrus looks lurvley. Always fancied one of these.
Pretty stunning finish wise, mine just a 4 string version of that. I'd recommend trying one out, you'd be just as pleased with it as your G&L! Glad to see your keeping the '78, sounds great on your myspace recordings
2. WITHDRAWN
3. Cheers MB1! Don't suppose theres a guitar version of basschat? It would go much quicker on there I reckon
4. Withdrawn! Amazed.
5. Its gonna be another week until I can consider posting this one guys. I'm glad its not a bike lol! I'm still thinking about keeping it, the woodgrains purdy. I can imagine a sub being less warm with more punch, this is more of a high output Phat P/J bass but does R'N'B nicely . Also does a passive style P/J (the bass is not active)
6. Its a Gibson EB-1....
7. Maple looks best, feels better - but its all about the sound! Rosewood is better, gotta have some warmth on a jazz. If your a slap guy pick graphite. Rosewood looks better on vintage instruments.
8.
MB1. ...This be the one you should keep Oli ...Lovely Bass!...wouldnt mind having it back!...alas" Stingray Says...NO!"... (wallet is in also in agreement!)
Haha it is tempting, I may well do. The electronics are phenomenal, but its either this or the USA Cirrus. G&L's are better in the mix I feel.
9. Is a sadowsky tokyo the same as a metro?
10. Hi BCers, Got this in a trade from MB1 a the start of the year, wouldn't mind keeping it: A particularly nice G&L L2000 Tribute - looks like an older version (No made in Indonesia sign!). Its natural swamp ash with a hard rock maple neck and fretboard with that all important 21st fret. Its surprisingly light 8lbs-ish! The electronics are the same as the USA model with the big active/passive which I love, favourite electronics to date. Swirling in the pop zone and a mark above the heel. Comes with hardshell case and new strings. Punches well above its weight, very versatile. Nothing else to say. Full review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WT4AP58jC5o £350 collected from Cardiff or £365 Posted, price is firm - I'd rather keep it for any less! No trades. Bank Transfer/Cheque only. No Paypal. P.S Apologies to MB1 for using his photos
11. I've had the pleasure of seeing a Gibson original!! I never knew Epiphone did a reissue, they should make a Gibson reissue - I'd buy one. As a Jack Bruce fan, this appeals to me alot!
12. I've never had the pleasure of playing a Jazz other than an American Standard in Cranes Cardiff. They can't set up basses for sh*t so I wasn't impressed. Quietly spectating, I'd trust Bubinga5 on this one - he's probably tried every Jazz lol.
13. Been on since October last year!! Now at rock bottom price, how humiliating for such a great guitar...makes me sad.
14. What strap do you use with it? Its not that heavy I guess
15. Rosewoods a harder board than maple for starters, so less wear. 78's are more common too (I think!) Personally, I think you should give a couple o months worth of play to see if you like it first. You got TI's on it so your already half way lol.
16. I put up whatever price breaks even or would please me first, buyer second. I'd expect that as a buyer too. Only when i'm in financial trouble will I drop it below. If it takes someones fancy, they'll pay for it without making a lower offer - I always seem to do that with Charvel gear  . Also I dont think a fretless should be worth less than a fretted ever. Getting it fretted is criminal, I started on a fretless and the feel/sound is beautiful but I wouldn't play it exclusively, half the time though at least. Fretless P's create my favourite tone, I reckon I could manage the neck too. Question is P retro or no P retro?? Lovely bass, would pitch an offer if I could own more than one I love S/R/T finishes...and lamp
17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABLwmYI09Lw Thought it was worth getting Molan's vid in the thread to give people an idea of the sound!! Fantastic price, I do like super precisions - there should be more! Tempted... BUMP
18. Wasn't me either! I dithered too much about the looks. I need to try a couple o status' not sure whether all graphite or an S2 would be good for me
19. If you decide to post let me know, can't resist this kinda stuff.
20. Would you need another bass after purchasing this? I think not.
21. I like the Kinal, someone buy it, I ALWAYS click on this thread when its bumped. A lot of ppl say that the Elrick is on a par with a Fodera on Talkbass...still like the Kinal more lol.
22. How much does it weigh please?
