  1. The tech exists that an enterprising courier co could air tag everything along with their vehicles and cut all the nonsense.
  2. Thomman should hook you up if you get in touch.
  3. You could make a vertical tower box and transfer the whole kaboodle over to it, corners and all. Tilt and roll handle. The problem with making a bunch of small boxes is the horn unit is configured for all three.
  4. 'Off' on a tuning pedal IS bypass. I imagine by far the majority of users want it that way so it's easy to spot you are in tuning mode and bypassed. The minority club might well number 1 only.
  5. Idly looking down my front page I see that guests on BC outnumber members logged in 2:1. Are they bots or members not logged in or bassists that can't be bothered to sign up? I never log out myself.
  6. So long as it wasn't Gene Simmons you should be ok.
  7. Yup. It's a slow day at work. What's your excuse?
  8. So let's recap. No graphic designer, check. No website, check. Anyone want to give these guys actual money?
  9. My old PA put 100w per side into JBL e140 based vocal cabs. No worries in a venue that size.
  10. 3 ft from a drum kit one side and bass amp the other. Dynamic mics. Plausible?
  11. I left NZ with a pile, intending to return with same pile. I didn't want to pay duty on reimporting my pile so I went to see Customs on the way out and they slapped a sticker on it. I don't recall if they checked it or took my word for it when I came back. The sticker was nothing fancy a but a real bear to remove. No way it would be possible to peel off one bass and put on another.
  12. Not seeing 300 capacity there, the bar runs most of the length of the room. Had a sub drummer last night. I was reminded how loud a properly kicked kick drum can be. Got a wee bit carried away myself. Shouldn't be a problem to get plenty loud enough that folks are leaning over the bar to shout their drinks orders. If you really want to raise Cain no harm in adding a subwoofer.
  13. Aye. Despite eye protection I got a spark in my eye at work. That was some nasty pain. They packed me off to the doc who found a rust stained divot in my eyeball. Not recommended one little bit.
  14. 2nd thoughts Might be easier to take half mm's off the inside edges of the surrounding cabinet with a sanding block until the grill fits.
  15. You need a way of securing the grill while you grind. Either that or use the bench grinder. Either way you also need a place to rest on so nothing is completely "freehand".
  16. Duratex comes in plastic pouches, if available UK?
  17. I was wondering how you guys could be so behind the times as to be vulnerable to counterfeit 50's. Turns out you aren't!
  18. And 'specially those guys that hang around with musicians, hitting things in time with the music. I am trying to get folks to practice with a metronome so they aren't pushing me around while our drummer is unavailable.
  19. No contract made. No contract broken. Offer away.
  20. I think Reverb's issue would be with the seller, it any. I assume the nature of the fee issue was the seller had fees that he wanted to add to the advertised price or he had to pay a commission on your offer that was accepted?
  21. I missed the whole kerfuffle as the Brave browser on my phone nixed it from the get go.
  22. If running late is that predictable you should build it into your fee in the form of per 1/4 hr extensions to the agreed engagement. A performance for 1 hr 10pm to 11pm becomes 10pm to 12am with a +1hr fee tacked on.
  23. Tourism industry agitating for reinstatement. Afaik the scheme is defunct but the law behind it isn't. In theory with the right paperwork you could still march into the Customs office at Heathrow and get a refund.
  24. HPF frees the bass knob to do exactly that.
  25. Au contrair, they are all taking a response dive below 100hz. That doesn't happen by accident. An amp left to its own devices puts out basically a flat response to whatever comes along. The job of a preamp is to give it some character by messing with the signal that goes to the power stage. Those plots are from a notionally flat set of pink noise being sent to the preamp to measure the relative response in the speaker signal.
