  1. I think it's there for the purpose of standard adherence to the 'must state a price' rule in classified offerings. What people do with it is another thing. Beats me what can be achieved by inflating a trade value, even less when it's also for sale at a lower price.
  2. Did you get a speakon cable adapter along with?
  3. But it needs all the other cabs and mics you like to be on standby.
  4. If it wasn't for forum induced GAS I would still be rocking essentially the same Trace rig except in two boxes and my cab is a bit bigger. You can get much lighter stuff but you'll be hard pressed to sound any better. If it's getting too much for the deadlift you could remove the amp and put it in its own case to make it easier. Otherwise, there's loads of gear out there to try.
  5. Depends on the speaker and the volume level. You can plug a sim in and play through a FRFR cab and get the desired tone at low stage volume, although in that case it likely wouldn't be mic'd, but the idea holds for home use and recording, without a sim you won't get the A-Z tones out of the FRFR cab and you're stuck with the tones of any other cab at the volume level you can have.
  6. Maybe your regular week is far more scintillating than mine. I'm very happy to have a good gig and no need of duds to make me appreciative.
  7. I only ever broke 1 string. It broke some time between last rehearsal and taking it out of the case on the stage. Playing the whole show on the upright was less than ideal.
  8. Everyone else I ever read about only ever makes 'permanent loans' of leads to guitarists, until they break that one..... and the possessive of who is whose, standing in for Dad.
  9. ^ That one took two clicks to make it post.
  10. My memory is hazy but if correct I got it under control with patience and then after the update they disappeared only to reappear in bulk a few days back, not taking long to catch me out again.
  11. Being no set definition of small to medium or loud the only way to find out is by actual test in your band. In a earplugs required heavy hitting drummer pub rock band I find my 200w tube amp is only just loud enough in medium small venues and that's with an extremely sensitive 215 JBL cab that makes the most of 200w.
  12. Double posts seemed to be gone but now they're back with a vengeance.
  13. One original tune we did was in 7/4. The drummer played it in 5/4+2/4. That worked ok. Another drummer played it Reggae with a beat missing. That worked even better. No guitarist was involved.
  14. One of the ways 'spark' is achieved is with dynamics. Unfortunately function venues are becoming dynamic free zones thanks to noise level limitations.
  15. <it's> is the shortened form of <it is> !! The other more English English version is <'tis>. The word its frequently gets changed by phone 'auto incorrect' into it's. It's a crime against the English language. Sometimes I miss it and have to go back and edit lest I get a punctuation police warning from Dad.
  16. That's messy but a long way from out of hand. Out of hand is a pedal board that is too heavy for a comfortable one hand carry. Don't ask me how I know.
  17. Afaik density isn't an acoustic quality, more commonly a by product of 'rigidity' aka stiffness. Then you get the foam stuff. I don't know how stiff it is but obviously stiff enough not to affect the tone in a small cab.
  18. What about sticking a raised dot on the knob at 12 o'clock when it is in the detent? Then you should also have a very good feel of where it is relative to centre.
  19. You could sand it back and Duratex it. I wouldn't expect another 13 years' gigging carbon fibre if you are scuffing up the old one.
  20. I guess if you didn't know Mamma Mia = ABBA you would have had to read the rest of the posts all the way to the end to find the first ABBA.
  21. Try ABBA. If that doesn't bring it up try ABBA news. Google surely isn't so messed up these days that it won't find what everyone is talking about?
  22. One of the show directors was interviewed. She expects everyone to be emotionally blown away by the presentation. She said if people come way having seen a good show then she has failed.
  23. If the criterion is gigbag friendly then it has to be the Elf. It's not much bigger than a Sansamp BDDI and soundpeople like its DI. You would probably need to add a speakon to 1/4" adapter.
  24. And yet you succeeded all the same. When it's played along with the pattern as grouped in the traditional way it doesn't require extra memory. It's much easier to remember differences from standard patterns than entire patterns. Even though the result is the same if you succeed.
  25. Ignore that advice. I'd love a nice Roadstar and I'd play anything on it.
