TC Electronic - Brittle broken knobs / buttons RH450 / 750
Adee replied to Adee's topic in Amps and Cabs
@WoodinblackThanks for your replies, @MuppetI feel your pain, I've just moved and can't find a thing! If either of you get a chance I will gladly like to have them My RH750 is looking bit sorry for it's self ... knobless -
Anyone else have / had an issue with the knobs breaking on their RH450 / 750 Amp? The plastic used in manufacture at the time, maybe still? becomes brittle and easily breaks after some time. TC used to replace the knobs and buttons but now they seem to have shirked that responsibility, so you are left with trying to source them yourself or replace them with another type. I remember Hercules had an issue with their plastic becoming sticky on their stands and even now they will still (with a bit of pushing) replace the part for free. Shame on you TC very poor of them !! BTW If anyone has 2 or three spare knob drop me a message please

That's why Mart has my Fallout now, yes it felt much like a 34" scale as the bridge is set forward. sounded ace but much preferred my JMJ Mustang, EBMM Stingray and Sandberg Lionel Shorties -
Same .... but Ooooofffff Starry Night !!

Cool, which band are you in?

Awesome that is one super cool looking bass, it’s going to look ace on stage !! Enjoy \m/

... And I am forever thankful that you made the decision to let the Sandberg Lionel go !! -
The NAPALM HEARTS mid 80's ... back when I had hair, Ooofff Spandex and a lovely Guild 301 note lights hanging out of the ceiling, we'd just set of an obscene amount of pyro and maroons !!

Deffo keep saving for a Lionel or keep an eye out for a used one, you will NOT regret it ! I love mine thanks to @scrumpymike @Osirisalso has one and will maybe chip in with some wise words I also have a JMJ Mustang and have no issues with neck dive at all, lack of arm contour is my only slight gripe I guess -

Sandberg Lionel all the way, superb, sound is punchy and articulate, build is as good as it gets, neck is soooo nice, comfortable and look great. I also have a JMJ Mustang that is spot on and a EBMM Stingray short scale which is just brilliant ... but for the money the Lionel (and thankfully is actually a California and no mention of Larry on the bass at all) wins hands down on bang for buck ! @Osiris has a Lionel too an might weigh in with his opinion -
Excellent choice, cracking bass, I have the EBMM version and it’s a joy to play, also have a ‘Lionel’ and a JMJ Mustang … just love my shorties now!!
