We went around in circles for ages
We had this as well!
IIRC it was Gloucester (or perhaps Exeter?) town hall, we were supporting Carter USM and had a proper dressing room that wasn't just a dirty basement lined with pint glasses full of piddle. There were sandwiches and beers!
Either we bumbled about for quite some time sniggering about how next Guy's guitar would pick up signals from the local taxi firm...

A couple of BPM quicker should bring it just under
It's only 90bpm, but the bass and backbeat go to 180...
Any faster and the world would explode!

I've managed to do some stuff... But just wondering how strictly we have to stick to some of the rules?
It's not like like I've done something heinous, like pan pipes.
But I've produced a Drum'n'Jazz (or Jazz'n'Bass?) epic which is about 18 seconds over 5 minutes. As it's obviously a great work of art it can't be edited as that would compromise its integrity 😁
What does the Great Hive Mind think? There's lots of fretless bass in it and it goes like the clappers!

artist who has enough faith in their music to pay to have a couple of hundred CDs or records pressed
Nowt to do with faith... The band were formed in Leeds, Yorkshire. And in the traditional Yorkshire way none of us have removed our wallets from our trousers since that fateful time in 1986!

you’ve done a few of these now haven’t you?
This is no. 2!
Raph and our new drummer, Bob, did a couple as Terminal Rage...

Luckily, our singer was in the New FADs who seen to still have a manic following, including 6Music DJs, and our drummer was in the Utahs back when they were still a band.
So we're hoping for a bit of queue jumping and lots of airplay!
Not expecting much money, as we don't have any physical product.
Hoping for a couple of dancey festivals too...

We recorded a 5 track 1/2 hour mini album, got our mate Jez from the Utah Saints to help us mix it. Then our guitarist's son produced short promo vids which we're doing the drip feed thing with on the various socials... We've set up streaming release dates, have contacted 30+ journos plus 6Music DJs, and may even stoop so low as to play a gig.
Anyone got any more ideas to guarantee some form of musical world domination?
We've done gigs in daft costumes, and none of us touch weed (or any other drugs barring a sneaky Mezcal), even though we're called Weeds (we're even so trendy we don't have a "The"!)
Here's the first promo vid to poke fun at, featuring Pierre, a Belgian performance artist:

Had our nearest gig to home last night, at the Assembly Rooms in Ludlow with Kidderminster's finest, Humdrum Express...
Sound was good, we were above average - nobody even threatened us! It was our drummer's last gig so we were out to have some fun - this was helped by a large Jim Beam on mounting the stage.
We also did our longest set for a while, a whole 55 minutes including two covers (our Magazine tinged version of Dead Kennedy's "Moon Over Marin" and the Cameo mash=up of Penetration's classic "Don't Dictate) - there were a few OG punks singing along raucously to these as advancing years had stopped the stage diving... I even did a whole 2 minute reverby bass solo as intro to our first song (mainly cos Mr Guitar had gone for a piddle so had to cover!).
gear was ACG Recurve, Helix, BBEPre/DBX compressor, Crown power and Markbass 4x10.
Boots were MotoMartin bike boots, trousers by Indian Project, home-time dram was a rather fine Machrie Moor cask strength.

And before playing I used superglue. Worked fine...

£600 for an Alembic Series 1?!
Aye... Unfortunately I only had £500 so had to make do with the Wal.
😁
I suspect that if I'd bought the Alembic either their Security Team would have had me liquidated for all the scuffs and fluorescent paint in the nooks and crannies, or they'd have re-released Stan's "If this bass could only talk " with a pic of my Alembic as "worn" as my Wal is!

I bought a Crown 2 channel PA amp for around £350. Bridges to 1500W into 4 ohms... Been faultless in 4 years - only slight downside is you need to get a bridged speakon lead, or just use bare wire across the channels...
Here I am then and now , how bout you

I remember our old manager (RIP Mikey!) had an ancient 2CV which he'd painted fluorescent cherubs and angels on any inside surface with a uv lamp so they'd glow as he was driving along.
His bumper sticker said "I only brake for Bongwater".
