Back in the late 80s we started off playing the Kings Head in Fulham. The deal there was we had to get 15 people in after which we'd get 1/3 of the door take... If we didn't get that many we'd have to cover PA costs of £25. Luckily we managed it every time we played there, sometimes only just! But that was the only place we played that had that sort of deal. We have music at work from a large (1600+) playlist I've put together on Spotify. It plays through an early 90s Sansui amp I got off ebay for £20 and a pair of JBL control 1 speakers. The sound is excellent, it goes far louder than we need and it's been going for 12.5 years at 8 hours a day, 362 days per year without missing a beat. The JBLs are still made and Richer Sounds are doing 'em for £79...
