I've recently joined our old guitarist to form a new funky slightly jazzy blues band, we'll be doing mainly originals and so far have me on bass, Jonny on guitar and Chris on drums, and possible female singer if she thinks we're good enough (she's got a degree in music performance). So it's inevitable band name time. So far we've got: The LD7 (postcode!) The JP4 Craven Black Cat The Gitanes But we're not convinced. Suggestions for better names?

I felt that the house had seen better days, perhaps had regrets, could have done things differently. So here's a sort of urban tribute to Bill Laswell, featuring a fellow Badass Weed... And if poss, listen through decent speakers or 'phones if you want to actually hear the bass guitar! Bass is a Sandberg Bassic. Guitar is a Strat through Bias FX. Drums are built up using Ez Drummer sounds. Synths are AAS and Iris. Vox rolled in nectar Elements and Raum, and everything smothered in Ozone 9 and Neutron 3 with the occasional dollop of IHeartNY and Shadow Hills compression.

Funnily enough I've been deeply un-keen since Antwan The Swan started "singing". So basically Californiaction on... And I saw 'em at their first UK gig at the Clarendon in Hammersmith, home of the legendary Klubfoot. But still a fan of everything up to BSSM - even had a dodgy ciggy with Flea at an aftershow party at the Astoria where we discussed a mutual love of P-Funk.
