  5. The scale length specs are 28.6 for the Mikro and 23.46 for the Blackstar. Having owned both basses, so far im really enjoying the Blackstar and thats all that really matters. I would suggest that you go to PMT and try out both basses and see which one you enjoy the most and which suits your needs the best
  6. I had the Mikro, it was a nice little instrument, but sent it back, I prefer the string height on the low side but couldnt get that particular bass to where I wanted it. I found the Blackstar was more or less good to go out of the box, the Musicman style neck wheel truss rod adjustment was a nice little touch and the tone control knob did actually blend rather than just trebble or dull, nice features on a bass ive seen listed for as low as £169. Its not going to replace my USA Fender Jazz Deluxe or USA Musicman Sterling but its fun travel size bass that will probably fit inside your suitcase.
  7. I got one today, its a really fun little bass, pleasantly suprised how well it plays. Gonna take it to rehearsal tomorrow, looking forward to the reaction from the rest of the band when I pull out the worlds smallest bass
  8. I would like to add that the bass weighs 4.5kg not 5.5kg and is in no way as back breakingly heavy as the previous message suggests.
  9. 44mm with a fairly slim neck profile
  10. All the unique touches and features that made us fall in love with the original Embassy bass, reimagined for the modern performer. Equipped with a pair of powerful Probuckers, each note you play will rumble through even the densest of mixes. So you can be sure that your playing is heard in every practice and performance. Not to mention their immense versatility which shines in absolutely every genre. But, just like the original Embassy bass, the real secret lies in its playability. 19. So I got down to the rehearsal room last night and ran a speakon lead out of each channel of the QSC into the 2 cabs, had 50hz filter on and clip limiter switches on, parallel mode switches on, plenty of volume and sounds good, the Sansamp gain at 12 oclock and output 2 oclock, using a Fender Jazz bass in passive mode, im noticing the clip LED on each channel of the QSC is still coming when playing harder, im not hearing any distortion or anything unpleasant, is this ok ?
  20. One of the jack leads had melted from the bridging experiment, ive replaced the jack with a speakon, now using both channels parallel with limiter swiches on and 50hz filters on, havent had the chance to test it properly as I had to go back home to, but will after the weekend.
  21. yes I was in there recently, it was packed out
  22. Ive got an XLR, ill try it to see if there is any difference
  23. I noticed both of the channel clip LED lights came on
