Recently bought a Fender AVRI ‘75 jazz, long drive for it, played ok, needed some adjustment to suit me, deal done
The neck had too much relief in it, but truss rod was really tight. Only a few weeks earlier I had read in this group about somebody having the same problem, with the same bass they had just recently bought
A quick search shows this to be a fairly common issue with a well known fix involving washers
So I took the neck into work, it helps that I run two engineering workshops, one being a machine shop
Thread size is 10 unf, so got a bush machined with internal diameter to fit that size thread and outer diameter same as ‘the bullet’
Had a couple made in stainless steel, 3mm and 4.5mm long
Back clamped the neck slightly, fitted bush and bullet onto truss rod with a small blob of clear grease, tightened up slightly and left over night
The desired effect was achieved, stringing with 40-100, put some relief back in the neck, leaving it exactly where I would have liked it!
Opening up an M4 washer is what people normally do, but when you can do a proper job, it’s worth the effort
Should of took some photos I know!

How would you describe the sound Neck pickup bridge pickup ? Nice Looking Bass !
Nice rounded sounded, like you would expect from a jazz of this quality

EBS HD350
In great condition, fitted into EBS case (open front and back)
Great sounding amp, with a great reputation
Transparent sounding with drive, compression and great EQ section
Selling as I bought this due to having one many years ago, but I also have a class D amp and I want to upgrade some of my other audio gear, so this has to go

I almost tagged you when I saw this but remembered you were looking for USA versions. However, this one is likely as good if not better.
I did manage to find a USA model, I’m sure I posted it somewhere
it’s very nice!

Unusual to see the Japanese ones with 70s spacing. Most of the ones I’ve seen have 60s spacing, despite being a reissue of a 70s bass.
I was looking a while back and was surprised how many were around with 70’s spacing!

I’ve got a Sei jazz and I’m in Manchester, but I guess you are looking for one of their more unique designs?

Damn, just bought a 75 AVRI, and this is local

Bridge is staying!
I know the original is correct for year but the badass is a good change in this bass and something I’ve done in the past

Really liking this, not had a maple board on a bass for around 20 years

I picked up a 2005 75 AVRI at weekend, not weighed it, but feels good to me, estimate it at around 9
Sounds great
really nice neck on a 75, I think a 74 is chunkier, but same width,
whilst I was looking, I also looked at Japanese 70’s jazz basses, noticed some have correct pick up spacing for 70’s and some don’t, probably depends when made
a few things to consider when looking at these basses
