This is a property lightweight
added weight to description
7lb 15oz / 3.62kg

Sadowsky Metroline PJ
german made Sadowsky in ocean blue
it’s in great condition, comes with Sadowsky case
At some point the pick up knob has been swapped round so it’s ‘normal’
This bass is a lightweight at 7lb 15oz / 3.62kg
You don’t see many P style Sadowsky, most P/J basses seem to be based on there Jazz body
Sadowsky bag included
Im in Manchester and if you don’t know me then check my feedback

Looks like these are advertised in several places but stock hasn’t arrived yet!
Or they sold out very quick! -

So you buy the lightest Sterling around (I'll photograph this on the scales) and you sell a heavier one... problem solved!
I can’t sell the heavy one, it might be a beast but it’s been with me for ages
i stripped it in lockdown and sprayed it sonic blue (nitro)
it’s a 6’ bass!
looks great at 6’ but any closer it’s shit, but plays so well

Weren’t they doing the mother fooger envelope filter?
That had been rumoured for a few years now

Yeah album version wasn't Stu, it's credited as Mr X, later revealed to be Paul Powell.
Stu's line is on the single version which has the crazier sounding chorus!
Both very fun to play, one of my favourites... hence the user name!
Paul Powell is a great player, his Mr Exe album is well worth a listen

You get to a certain age where you have to rationalise just how many of 'any' bass you can have!
I have a sterling, it plays amazing but it’s on the heavy side!
A lighter sterling would be a nice addition!

Can one have too many sterlings? 🤔

After getting outbid on the BG-208 on eBay last night, I just got one for £160, pickup in Sheffield which means I can go visit one of my mates over there!

One on eBay if the OP fancies a bit of a drive, could go cheap due to not having the model in the title.
I saw that one!
update soon -
Thanks for all the help
Ir has swing me away from the shoe box size boxes with tiny speakers
@Hellzero your input is much appreciated
The SWR is a nice option but lacks aux in, so I will be having a bid on the the TC combo on eBay

The TC Electronics BG250 208 would get my vote but I’m biased as I own one and rate it very highly. Ticks all the boxes you mentioned. I’ve ‘upgraded’ mine with better drivers at a total of 4 ohms internal so that I get the full 250 watts without an extension cab but honestly, the difference is negligible.
I did consider that, need to check it out again, more from the portability point
I did own a TC combo a while back, the tone print is useful

That G-K seems a reasonable option, especially as the enclosure isn't ridiculously small. One can't get decent lows from a tiny box for the same reason that basses don't have a 45cm scale length.
It’s a good option, missed it in my searches, but an older GK model showed up a few times, used
