  1. That’s one of the nicest warwicks I have seen for a long time!
  2. I was hoping for that sort of reply, will drop you a PM when I get time as I’m still working cheers Tony
  3. Thanks for thinking about me! I’m in an odd position now, been after one for a while and nothing came up, so commuted at weekend to spend a whole load of $$ on my old ‘71 campervan so that I can hopefully get out for a break when this craziness starts to come to an end, later this year might have to tap my better half up Tony
  4. I could probably do it, but ideally would want somebody who knows what they are doing bored in lockdown and want to take a look at my pedal, let me know 😎 Tony
  5. Hi Great little filter pedal this, but it isn’t working! it lights up when foot switch is pressed, tone changes, but it’s like it’s stuck somewhere in the envelope! i checked the pots with a meter and all good, that’s the extent of my electrical testing ability! fairly simple circuit, not sure how these things work but I believe the optocoupler is a key part? Tony
  6. just deleted this post so I can start a separate thread as i have Seriousley highjacked this one! Tony
  7. Also, I’ve got a tone factor boomstick bottom feeder, great little filter, but it’s stopped working need some body to look at it it’s lost it’s quack, when I switch it in it just changed the tone slightly, like it’s stuck somewhere in the envelope, best way I can describe it was a £50 pedal 10 years ago, probably cost more to get it fixed, but worth it! Tony
  8. Thanks for the replies ive had many over the years, original Mu-Tron, meatball (too complicated) EBS, proton etc tried a wonder love mk2 last year and it didn’t cut it, read several times that the mk1 was better the chromatic has my attention as well but looks like the mxr is worth a try for the price cheers tony
  9. Been looking at these, wanting an analogue filter pedal, my tone factor broke lots of options out there!
  10. Been playing mine a lot this morning, random photo!
  11. Jut checked the date of manufacture of mine from the serial number March 8th 1999 didnt realise it was that old Tony
  12. I weighed my sterling tonight if I’ve not played it for a while, when I pick it up it feels heavy, but on a strap it’s fine so I weighed it, 10lbs 🤪 that’s heavy for a smaller body bass! its sounds and plays great Tony
  13. My genzler is good for that, also goes the opposite way if needed my old streamliner had a nice vintage tone too it i hear people refer to Anguilla TH’s as old school sounding and the dark glass amps always sound like they do a good job in that area! Tony
  14. Thanks for that link, was after one of the solid colours, but will keep an eye on this one I have Musician caprice set up with notifications in eBay, so surprised I didn't se it Tony
  15. The cutlass has a P style neck and Caprice has J style I've been after a Caprice for a while, not many coming up second hand now There seems to be a few Cutlass available if you look around Tony
  16. Andy, my blue 'ray from the sterling thread had a Seymour Duncan pick up in it, Alnico version if I remember correctly, did a good stingray job in my opinion If you need close up of my sterling, you are more than welcome Tony
  17. I'm currently after a P style bass with a J neck and the Cutlass' brother, the Caprice has my attention Guitar guitar were showing a cutlass at a good price from what I remember EDIT - looks like its sold now Tony
  18. Looks lighter on the bass than it did on the bus!
  19. The colour is very similar to a stingray I had a few years back It was an early one I bought, with mutes at the bridge, someone had tried a crap relic job on it, so it got stripped back and resprayed in nitro. I used some nitro I had left from a VW bus I had sprayed many years ago, colour was niagra blue. After seeing this I am very tempted to do it again with my current sterling I fee a lockdown project coming on I'll see if I can find a pic of the bass and the bus! T
  20. This proves what has always been in my head Have tried several basses that have a MM pick up and none of them nailed that sound, always thought it was p/up position over pre amp. I know it wasn't the p/up as I had a 'ray with a SD alnico in it and it sounded great So I have a sterling and that works for me T
  21. This is the classic sterling I mentioned in an earlier post, I think I would miss that 3 position switch!
