  6. Hi I bought an NXT a few months back and I'm in the fortunate position to have it set up all the time in the conservatory, figured this would give me plenty of practice time, and it's working, I pick it up and play a lot! But, I'm struggling with the stretch in my hands between the notes at the top of the neck, so moving from a B flat to C on the A string. I really do have smallish hands (hence the reason for me playing a Fender Jazz) my mrs even refers to them as being webbed lol! So, do I stick with the NXT and get some lessons to help out with my technique or move it along, put the extra cash in and get the NS omni bass, which is the same scale as a bass guitar? Advice would be much appreciated as I'm really enjoying playing upright and would like to quickly get a few jam nights in with a mate who plays acoustic, I could easily do that now with the songs we do, but I'm thinking more long term and progressing on UB Thanks Tony
  7. Withdrawn Thx for the PM's, all replied too Tony
  8. I recently got one of these, amazing! Buy one and die happy kind of bump Tony
  9. still in barbados bump! Off for a kite surf session on the reef in 1/2 hour Tony
  10. No, barbados for real, red hot and windy, just drinking a rum after a baking day on the beach
  11. Nice, I have a pale sonic blue from same year. Mine is Brazilian rosewood board Possibly the best playing bass I've ever owned! Tony
  12. I have a double mono and could get a lakland hollowbody in it, which I think is bigger! Tony
  13. Fender have not done a hard case for it yet and I suspect the slightly offset body would make it difficult to find something I would have just used my mono bag Reading through earlier posts, yes the bottom of the headstock is carved with a slither of black paint, I like the headstock! Tony
  14. I played one yesterday! Really nice, the short scale feels good, barley noticeable We'll made, frets were finished well and good fit in neck pocket. I had a good look over the body and no problems there, bridge is substantial, badass type Tuners look a bit cheap but they work fine Good range of sounds from it, it had rounds on it and I was impressed, tried it with fingers and a pick, it has a bit of bite with a pick and nice deep tones are there when you want them with a nice even response across all strings I would have bought this there and then but just spent a lot of ££, so had to hold back, would have been great for my bands acoustic set and probably in the regular set we do as a change from my jazz Tony
  15. That's a great bass, I've got a team built fender CS, third one I've owned, mine is a fairly recent bass and the relicing is exceptional! I would love a bass like this, make a nice pair with my CS Tony
