Thia is a shot of my board last month, it's evolving at the moment, so many changes The chorus pedal and BSW have both departed, there are now a Boss OC-2 and EBS multi comp on there. Custom looper being worked on at the moment I am using an LS-2 as well, trying to keep the levels between my fretted and fretless basses the same, but I may look at building a simple A>B switching facility with level control into my new loooper, the guy who is probably going to build it can probably do this Tony

I have to swap basses, I play fretless on one, sometimes two songs in our set (origanils, so 8/9 song set) I have to move quick to make it happen, biggest problem I have is getting the sound on my amp to suit fretless, the output of the Bart pre in my Sei is much higher than my Pedulla, I just got a Boss LS-2 to make the change easier. Maybe looking at making the chnage happen quicker like I have done is an option? Good luck finding a solution T

My Staus necked stingray (NAMM bass) was one of the nicest rays I've owned, paired with a traditional bass such as a ray it sounded great. Nice feel, I like the shape of the neck, from what I recall the neck flatens off at the back, making it feel sleek and slim. Very consistant tone across the range of the neck Tony

I have a Sei Jazz, had it a while, usualy start getting some kind of GAS at this point, but it is the first bass I have had for a long time that hasn't took me down that road, and at this point I don't see that happening!! The playability is great, feels so nice, I do have a few niggly issues with the electronics in it, but plans are in place to fix that, probably with an Audere pre and eventually some Nordstrand p/ups, not sure which ones yet. I also have coil taps on both my p/ups, keep knocking the switches, so I'm thinking only the bridge p/up will be tapped next time round as that is the p/up that will benfit my sound the most. I also have a multicomp on my board, but use it with my fretless more than my Sei Through a TD650 and 2 4x10's it sounds the nuts, very focused sound Tony

Yes it was the bag that came with the TD650, that now lives in a solid SKB 4u rack. This has now gone to Bass Bunney Thanks for the enquires, it's good to recycle T

The momentary switches are fitted to channels one and two, the momentary switches are activated using a small push switch, I would have preferred a toggle so I could see what state the switch was in, but they do work and there is always the rest of a toggle switch getting hit by a size 11. The actual switches are not the regular footswitch type, they have rubber caps on and you can feel them click when you press and release them. This is a very flexible looper, the only reason I am selling is I am getting a custom built 2 channel looper, I may add a momentary switch to one channel as I did find it useful, I also need my in/out to be in a specific place to fit my current board. Over the last month or two, I have worked out exactly what I need for my new band, hence the need for a new looooopa Hope that helps, will get some pics up later Price will be what I paid £55 delivered Cheers Tony

After having used my current looper for a good few months, I know find myself needing something more specific. So this is a feeler at this time for what is a very versatile loooper pedal 3 channel looper Tuner mute LED's on all 3 loops and tuner mute Loops 1&2 can be switched to operate via momentary latching switches, really nice for punching in an effected note or notes, then returning to the un eefected sound, I found it worked great with a filter or the digitech bass synth wah! I like urb's comment "it's a standard technique of modern bass playing, so get over it" I guess most of you guys weren't around in the mid 80's then, everyone was at it I remember going to see MM at the Jazz cafe a few years back and someone said, "way too much wacky wacky pop" but he doesn't get a mention here and thats probably more full on "slap solo kind of playing" than I recall Level 42 playing live, I'm not a big Level 42 fan these days, but I enjoyed it back in the day, it opened my eyes to a lot of other players that I was unaware of at the time! One more thing, CW is indeed responsible for a lot of kids picking up a bass and giving it a go, as is flea, as was MK in the 80's, cos it was relevant (and a bit cheesy, but so was a lot of mid 80's pop) then, the earlier stuff, up to and including P of A lacks cheese IMHO, some of the best Brit Funk around at that time We had a jam during a sound check last week, we are a rock band, but we do good funk, I played a slap line, kept it simple, sounded cool, felt great to play, needs to be done every now and then. Hey My new band plays mostlt original material, but we do have a few covers in the bag for those days we need them, current favourites are Looking At You (MC5) and T Rex' 20th century boy. Got asked if I mind doing My Generation tonight! RESULT!!!!! Happy Days Tony

Played Moho live in Manchester last night, went well, band is getting tighter all the time (this was out 4th gig) First outing with the Pedulla on the one fretless track in the set, went OK, but it wasn't until I started palying on stage I realised the side markers were bairly visible compared to my previous fretless, dropped on a wrong un at some point but managed to slide back in A few poeple in, better than the last time we played near the uni' (Manchester is like any other uni' area, lacking students at this time of year!) Got a break for a while now, most of the band are on holiday at some time over the next 4 or 5 weeks, but time is good for writing and learning a few covers cos we got a private gig where we will be playing our regular set plus a few more covers Wrecked this morning!!!!! Tony

Thx Mike, will certainley consder that when I get round to making the change, can't play the clip it yet cos I'm sat in a quiet office, the sound of a bass guitar from my laptop will probably turn a few heads! Getting the time to make the change is going to be difficult as we are very busy right now with gigs and rehersals, all good fun! My daughter took the photo above, I've done a lot of band photography over the years and am taking a break now as I'm back playing in a band (no time left!) so she's taking up where I left off, hoping she will tie it in with her 2nd year visual arts course at uni next year. UPDATE - My Sei will today become paired with a new fretless, a Pedulla Pentabuz! Should be waiting for me when I get home from work, took a few weeks for this to happen and it's all thanks to eubassix (Dave) who went out of his way to broker a deal between me and a guy in the NE. It will get it's first outing tonight at rehersal and then will make it's first live appearance tomorrow night if all goes to plan! Then we have a nice gig at Moho in manchester on Sunday night Cheers Tony

My white Sei Jazz has been very busy of late, is now without scratch plate, felt like a change, I think I may send it off to get a tort' version cut, but also may have it back on for the next few gigs, got a break after this weekend, so may get it done after that! Still wanting a new pre, can't decide if I wanna keep the coil taps, may just have the bridge p/up tapable and eventually would like to sample the delights of Nordstrand Tony
