Meatball

It landed today, but utd kicked fulahm and I watched it in pub, still got meatball to do funk, advise from anyone who has owned one before would be appreciated T
2. ..reassuringly! Not too bad, been after one for a while, a 10% e-bay voucher helped! Thought it would have landed today, but alas, no! T

POD X3 Live

Are you guys on the floor or rack units? Is there much difference between the two (apart from the obvious, floor with pedals vs rack without pedals) Tony
4. I'm with toasted, you gotta try stuff. Grab a brew, sit on the floor with bass, in front of pedals and play, should take ages even with a few pedals, and it's good fun, often resulting in some pleasent suprises! As said many times before, octave first, ain't nowt worse than a flailing octave effect! I will be doing just that when my new meaty filter arrives, should be here today, I'm going to have a ball T
5. very drunk tonite, but pleased to have started this thread, I may be able to read i-pod tomorrow and tell you what i was listening too!! T

POD X3 Live

Bumping this back up, could be the answer for my non analouge needs? What you guys thinking? Tony
7. I listen to jaco if I feel I need to listen to him, wouldn't be my first i-pod choice in the car. Got a live jam he did on I shot the sheriff, enjoy that, also The Chicken, but I spent a lot of my youf playing in big bands. jaco had the skils and inspires many, thats how it is, but listening to him like you do your everyday tunes, don't think so! T
8. The arrival of a fretless into my arsenal off basses last week prompted me to seek out some more fretless playing. Loaded i-pod with three Mick karn albums and went out for most of the day in manchester, listening to as much as possible whilst on bus and in between pints of Stella. have to say, I'm suprised, some wiered and freaky stuff going on, some hints of "Japan" in there, but on the whole, very enjoyable, album names to follow when stella drains from my system T
9. Had a few of these MM basses over the years, here's the current MM family member, a 2005 LTD buterscotch 4 string (photo's courtesey of Flanker, the previous owner) T
10. Bloody nice this, I had an unlined overwater fretless a few years back, sounded sooo nice! Would have been intrested in this if.... 1) It had one string less 2) I hadn't just bought an old Ibanez fretless 3) I had some money Good luck with the sale Tony
11. just sat here reading this with my sei jazz on my knee, trying to cook up a line for a low-fi loop i've got sat in pro tools, that neck has threw me, so time to stop Looking good, the headstock is unusual, great idea though Gonna be putting a J-retro in mine soon, not really into the bart pre that is installed, but the bart pre is probably the least harsh pre I've heard! Tony

T-rex

Noticed a few T-rex bass pedals becoming more numerous on evil bay, the chorus for example is fairly expensive, so has anyone tried any of these, or owned one Not looking to buy, just curious, as a search on this forum does not throw up any results, which is unusual as there are bass specific pedals in the range Tony
13. it was one of a pair for PT, I have the fretted Jazz, they were the first J basses that were made by Sei from what I understand T
14. Not my bag, but what a stunning bass! Tony
15. Might as well add to this as well as this thread is turning into a right old jerk off! I've had one of these for years, but 2 weeks back, due to a room rearrangement, took an angle grinder to the frame and made it less deep, probably reduced depth by around 200mm which made a big difference, also took the upright bits down so level with the shelf, which sits just above my Digi 002, now looks less imposing in a room and accomodates my pro tools set up in a very sexy way Someone should buy it! T
16. No problem, thanks for the explanation, being a frequent traveller myself, I know how it is! Hope you enjoyed your cup of tea Cheers Tony
17. Thanks for the info, would have been nice to have known that, been waiting for the post most days this week T
18. If anyone knows this guy ask him to send my pedals or at least log on and reply to my PM T

SOLD

Missed an af-9 again, not happy, if you chnage your mind, give me a shout on that! Tony
20. So I just ordered me a leopard, LE 8 next, any G5 users on here who can help me with a few questions, cos all this mac stuff is still a bit foreign! T
21. Want myself an overdrive distorion, don't do the full on fuzzy mess thing, had a blowtorch before and liked its smooth, almost synth like sound, but theres a DHA VT1 EQ Bass Drive Custom for sale down in the effects section, could that be an alternative, never heard one, hoping one of you guys will help me here T
22. I just spent some money! Used Digi 002, with pro tools 6.3 Used dual 1.8ghz G5, the price of these shocked me, lower spec machines than the one I found are hitting £500!! This G5 had 3.5ghz RAM, two HD's, the OS is on a 350 gig HD, the second drive is 80 gig. Will probably replace the second HD with something bigger. Next step is to get Leopard on the Mac, the Pro tools 8 LE Tony
23. T-bass gig bag
24. Not aware of an effects unit that would do sucha thing, maybe the only way would be GK p/up, axon, yamaha or roland pitch to voltage converter into a synth. Lot of ££ to go that route though. The new v-bass does all that I think Tony
