Ok can you let me know the model number and the spec? Preferably the ID (should be on the base) as Toshiba make loads of different specced machines under the same model numbers Cheers Steve EDIT: Or swap for a Jim Dunlop bass wah?
Satelitte M70-144 Model No PSM71E-01400DEN ... and yes, if the Bass wah is the white one! Had a few PM's on the PC requesting spec... Motherboard - Asus A8V with on board sound Processor - AMD Athlon 64 1.80GHz RAM - 1 GB (could do with more for audio work, fine for everything else) HD - 80 gig (fairly sure this is a 7200rpm drive) Graphics card - Nvidia Geforce TI 4200 DVD drive - Asus Lightscribe Case - silver Mac style, but one of the DVD drive flaps has gone walkabout Also got various MOBO extras such as RAID leads, USB 2.0 boards, maual, driver disc Sound card as mentioned above is Delta 10-10 LT £60 for Delta 10-10 LT Buy the lot for £140. Would prefer collection as I don't like the idea of posting a PC! Away in Germany for a few days (from Monday 12/1/09) some may be slow to reply to PM's Tony
Last time I looked SZ was playing Gibson Les Paul basses...
He may be, that photo was from 2007 I think, but whatever he hads been playing for the last few years is a loooong way from his Warwick sig! Maybe he'll be saving the warwick for something else he's got going on as has already been suggested! T

Lush! I don't do basses outside of what one would consider to be the norm, but the Buzzrad is the exception! along with Overwater C bass! Buy one! There was one on E-bay a few weeks back, try a completed listings search T

SZ was doing the p-bass thing last time I saw him, sounded good and just looked right in the MR band, this new bass looks odd for what he's doing now, not that its all about looks? TM's bass is what I would expect! He should be in the UK this year again at some point T

Digitech bass synth wah, great octave effect and some other stuff on tap should the need arise, cheap as... on e-bay T

I had a similar problem once with a stingray, 7th fret on the G-string, seemed to lack the sustain of other notes and as a result, it screwed the effectiveness of the EBS octave effect! I never fixed it, my current stingray seems to do the same, not to the effect, just sounds similar, maybe its the way I set em up? T

Chris I have absolutley nothing of use to you to add to this discussion, but I did own a Tele' bass back in errrrrr, 1980, maybe 1979! It was my second bass, the first being a "no name" P. bass copy, the Tele; was my first propa bass, I was still at school and saved every single penny I got my hands on, I was earning a bit from playing as I could read, plus the money I got from selling the P. bass. Mine was a 1972, natural finish with the big chrome p/up, it only had one sound, deep bass! I bought a Boss 7-band graphic to give it some more zing as I was playing a wide variety of stuff at the time Mine came from a guy called Diccon Hubbard, bass player with the Salford Jets (who you looking at), he used to come in the off licence my dad owned, so I got to know him that way. Bumped into him many years later at the Bass centre in manchester, "Your the guy who bought the Tele bass off me" he said! It cost me £150 back then, then I had the joy of teling all my mates I had a Fender bass Many fond memories attached to that bass, did a hell of a lot of playing with it considering my age, also lost it a few times after a few sniffs of the bar maids apron! I know there is a photo of me playing it somehwre on face book, off to find it! Good luck with the build chris, considered it myself but realised it would be more down to sentimant than practicality! Tony (off work, sick and feeling sentimental about his old basses)

Jazz or stingray, possibley the best two bass combo out there, both slap like 10 slapping things in a slapping room full of slappers on a good day for slapping things! With a £500 budget you should get a decent Jazz with maybe a few $$ to chuck a cheap, S/H active circuit in! Saw a ray go on e-bay a few weeks back for around £480 on e-bay, pick up only in London, teal green! Bargains do come up! T

Been a while since I looked at their site, me and Flanker breifly discussed these basses last week! Alleve Coppolo Looks like they are now doing their pre amp seperate, in pedal form too! T
