A casual conversation with a guy in work yesterday, resulted in him telling me about a jap '75 reissue he'd had since he was at school, said he doesn't play it anymore!
He warned me it was a bit battered and brought it in today, not as bad as I expected, a few dinks in the laquer, slightly rusty pole pieces and plenty of ageing on other chrome bits. Probably in the very, very early stages of developing it's own bit of Mojo!
Got it home, truss rod needed a bit of tweeking, it's in the process of settling down now, adjusted the action a touch lower and it plays nice.
Got a crackly jack socket and the neck pick up won't raise, so a bit more work to do yet!
It's maple body, black pick gaurd, rose wood bound fretboard. cool as!!!
Happy days!
