Allen Gray composed it, as well as the theme. His original name was Jozef Zmigrod and he was born in Hungary. He composed many themes for P&P films and others! You can find him on Wikipedia. Also there is a good rendition, in full of the piano refrain, on YouTube by Phillp Sear. It's very good!
