1. So sorry to read about your loss.
I've had my van broken into on three occasions and stuff (tools etc)stolen.
These people are wothless pieces of sh*t.
Apart from the hassle and inconvenience of the theft it makes you feel absolutely awful emotionally.
I do hope you get over it ok.

2. bump for the weekend.
Now i'm willing to throw in some serious ale
Thwaites Double Century,Bombadier and Wainright. One bottle of each as I've given up the ale since January due to weight problems. My doctor suggestad I get a pet to help .I thought she was talking about a dog to take walks but she said a tapeworm would work better.

3. As a beginner18months ago I got a Tanglewood acoustic bass for those very same reasons but found it more dificult to learn on because of the depth of the body.
Just athought and something to think about.
Try before you buy if you can.

4. Saw Bireli last year at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
The guy plays as though he were just breathing,no drama no sweat,no effort.Makes everthing look so easy.
True craftsman.
Don't it make yer sick.

5. I have a 20 something year old Korean P type bass and I've recently acquired a Spector 24 fret neck which I'm intending putting on the P body.
The original neck has only 22 frets which means that I either have to cut a deeper pocket or move the bridge.
If I move the bridge,(which is an easier option and one that I prefer to do) which is being replaced with a Badass any way, what difference to the tone am I likely to hear.
Also the Spector neck is about 1/8 -3/16 of an inch narrower so I'm going to have to make and fit some spacers.
Any comments and advice would be gratefully recieved.

6. Popped over to see Paul (aka NancyJ) yesterday Mon.
Paid for some bits from him ages ago and just had the oppochancity to go aqnd collect them.Made to feel very welcome with a nice cup o tea and felt we could have carried on chatting for ages.
What a nice chap.
Any way I've now got enough stuff to put together a couple of nice guitars if all goes to plan.
Thanks very much paul and it was a pleasure meeting
you and your wife.
All the best
Paul

7.
Does anyone know of a forum, or sub-forum which is intended for the discussion of Burns basses/guitars?

Geoff
I've got a 1966 Baldwin/Burns semi acoustic.
30" scale.
Needs a bit of work on the electrics.
Shall we start our own forum ?
