Hey Tom/Steff I was hoping to be in a position to make my mind up on this earlier in the week (it's down to whether I've got a new gig or not - if I get it it would be useful to have this as well as my Powerhouse 1x15). However, for various reasons I had to postpone the audition. Tom, if you want it, please go for it. If you don't, Steff, drop me a PM and we'll sort something mate. Chris
No worries Chris. I am not in a big rush anyway (a 1x15 is my real GAS) , hope you get it and enjoy it! If you ever want to part with yours at some point......let me know, I have a lovely amp to go with it... Steff, any idea on weight of the 1x18 yet, doing some research myself, I read a thread on TB with some guy saying they were 114lbs!! Cheers. Tom
Sean Ysuelt (ex-White Zombie) takes me back to my formative years, great bass playing and I had a major teenage crush on her too weird when you find out your teenage crushes are now in their mid-late 40s, though
Oh.. and a big +1 to this.
i played in a lot of ''secular'' bands before i started going to a church and i can safely say i have never been as streched forced to improve as a musician than when i started playing worship music!
+1 I always remember the first time i practised with our worship group. The guy leading on acoustic guitar gave me a chord sheet to a song i had never heard and said "Oh yeah and its in Capo 3..." and just started playing!! Never learnt so much in such a short space of time, truly a blessing.

I'm one of them there Christian bass players too. Play in Dorchester Community Church in Dorset. Link Smallish I guess. 100 or so members. We have our own building which is about 100 years old and are hoping for a new one soon due to some local council building development plans. Been a Christian for 3 years and playing in the Worship band for about 2 and a half. The couple who have run the Worship group for the last 10 years are moving to Devon to be closer to family so to our surprise, the Wife and I have been asked to take on the Job. Quite a privilege really, if a little daunting... I have always just played my basses through the Church PA. Now we are getting the reins I am feeling using an amp may be in order Music is everything from Hillsong type stuff to Hymns. Have also played with Des Minto from YFriday (Seeing as they were mentioned earlier) on a couple of occasions as the former worship leaders are his in-laws. Amazing drummer.... Nice to know there are quite a few of us on here
Hi, Me and my friends are looking to start a band, just for a hobby with potential for small gigs, friends BBQ's etc. We all play at different levels and it's been challenging when thinking of material we can all play that isn't too difficult for one or more members. So i'm looking for suggestions of simple rock songs we can belt out and piss the neighbours off with. Any suggestions?
With my new band we have been practicing fairly hard doing stuff which we all want to do but we have got to the point (learnt 17-18 songs) where we just want to get a few gigs under our belt so we are gonna stick a few real easy ones in there to get going, our prospective list to chose from is: Alright now Sweet home Alabama Twist and shout Anything by the Kinks Just looking- stereophonics Zombie-cranberries There she goes Paranoid Teenage dirtbag There should be a few there....have fun!!

2010 Ray 35. Honeyburst finish VGC. no dings or scratches, just a bit of pick guard swirling in the "pop" area and thumb rest area i.e above pickup.... doesn't show up in pics. I bought this September 2010 to get back into 5 strings, did, and I now have a real Stingray 5. I paid £639 for it brand new, which is still about the going rate, came with a gigbag. Selling for £470 with Hiscock Hardcase, delivered (UK). £445 picked up from sunny dorset Any trials etc....welcome. No trades sorry Cheers TK
