Is it a 34 inch? If so how is the B string? Is the fretboard flat? How does it balance on a strap? Anything in the way of dings/knocks? Thanks!
Yep flat/zero radius. Plays brilliantly 34 inch scale. Great B string IMO Balances perfectly on a strap. It's quite a weighty bass I guess but doesn't feel it cos it balances so well. It has a couple of tiny marks/dents on the front which are pretty hard to picture. It came to me like that. If you want I will have a go at getting a close up. But it's pretty negligable. + thanks for all the kind words folks 😊

Hi All Having a bit of a clear out.. Gonna let some really good stuff go but hey ho... I (Think) i've finally come to the realisation that i only need 2 basses max and much less in the way of effects and paraphernalia... We will see how it goes eh... First up: This brilliant brilliant 5 string, asymmetric neck carve and filter pickups. Plays like a dream and has a huge tonal palette from vintage to modern (My current plan is to sell all my unused stuff, keep 1 4 string and commission a custom 5 string build from ACG that should tell you enough) This particular bass was originally sold at MBL and i picked it up in a trade on here Here are some specs etc: http://www.acguitars...135-mbl-finn-5/ Comes with a 2nd-hand hardcase that is non-too-fancy but does the job. I'm asking £800 delivered in the UK. More (at cost) for full and proper courier insurance or overseas shipping. The all important weight: 4.8kg Top Wood: Wenge Body Wood: Black Walnut Accent Veneer: Maple Body Finish: Satin Lacquer Neck Wood: 5 piece Maple/Wenge Fingerboard: Indian Ebony Head Plate:Wenge Neck Finish: Satin Lacquer Pickups ACG FB Humbuckers Pre-amp: ACG SEQ Dual Filter. Hardware: Hipshot Type B,Hipshot string tree,Gotoh GB7 tuners. Pics:

Do the big name acts make cock-ups like us mortals?

This is my favourite Duff playing duff. Always makes me smile We play this in our band and it is often a shambles so it makes me feel better.... https://youtu.be/dsTcOx2_t1c?t=1m7s -
And yet another thread about how there's no more gigs and that they are mostly crap and that it's all too much effort. There are plenty of great paying gigs available provided that: 1. Your band is entertaining 2. Your band is prepared to put in the effort to go and get them I was going to write a whole load more explaining the above, but TBH if you need it explaining, you are probably never going to get it.
100% this ^ I hadn't played any gigs for a couple of years. (2 kids under 2 etc...) Recently thought: yeah i have time to do one band i think. Hooked up with some other people i've played with before on occasion. Got a band together, did some practicing, got some gigs. Simple We are happy to gig in the once a week to once a month frequency range i should add. It doesn't seem to be an issue for us? New band and relatively rural area TBH. People will always like to hear a live band on a night out surely? (I know i would)

Bought a nice little compressor pedal from Stevie. As above, Great guy to deal with, no issues, carry on

Danny sourced me a secondhand bass from actual Japan on his "BassHunter" service that I had been wanting for years but couldn't find or organise due to my lack of Japanese language skills. Super quick and professional service, brilliant communications (pictures, videos and tracking updates) and a straight up honest, friendly and knowledgeable guy to boot. I can't recommend highly enough, deal with 100% confidence

I picked up a Bigblock on here for about £700 3 or 4 years ago. It has completely cured my amp GAS. Perfect rock tone to my ears and INSANELY loud. Like I cant explain how loud. With a BF Super15 and set at volume level: #1 it's "can you turn the bass down a bit" loud

NBD! I have been Gassing for one of these for years... Danny from Bass Japan Direct hunted one down for me Lets just say it was worth the wait. Awesome bass, so pleased with it... AND its quite pretty don't ya think?
