    Doom

Starting a Doom band. Usual drop C sort of stuff. Spark Booster, Blower Box, Big Muff. Struggling to think what else I would need except a massive valve amp? Ta.
  2. I would try light gauge flats. Most tapes require extreme gauges with nut adjustment and for a tension similar to lower gauge rounds.
  3. Why remove the stock G&L pickup for an inferior aftermarket version?
  4. Cut the string before you put a kink in it, i.e. straight. The coils unravel, instant dead string.
  5. I would buy a DR roundcore SS string - Hi Beams or Fat Beams - and cut the string straight. It will be dead immediately. Might be what you're after?
  6. Guitars are lighter than bass. 😆
  7. Not Rotos because they have red silk. Not GHS because they have grey silk. I'm stumped.
  8. Go to a shop and play some. Buy the one you like the most.
  9. Chromes are the brightest flats out there. If you need brighter still, I would say try Pressurewound strings. GHS Pressurewounds and SIT Silencers are good examples.
  10. Ah, to be fair, that's tilted toward the bridge, not the neck as stated. That's not right.
  11. "Pickups were tilted towards the neck as if the foam underneath hadn’t been placed properly." You do know that's done on purpose, right?
  12. Don't need a cable with wireless charging.
  13. The black label 40-100s are similar tension to XLs. The Super Brights are definitely more flexible/lower tension in the same gauge. If you go for Super Brights, I would go up to 45-105 to get a similar tension.
  14. TGI Extreme - £54. I use this for rehearsal and it holds my Jazz bass very nicely. https://www.absolutemusic.co.uk/tgi-extreme-series-electric-bass-guitar-gigbag.html?source=shopping&sku=tgi4836
  15. Sound engineer? More like person behind the desk with shot hearing.
