  1. Love my Squier 40th Anniversary Precision. Strung with Dunlop flats - great tone.
  2. If anything, Amazon is a western version of Aliexpress which usually has the same products but much cheaper.
  3. If you're playing in a loud rock band, they're great. If not, I would look elsewhere.
  4. Getting off your backside and doing something about it? Nah, that's way too much hard work.
  5. Sounds like a Jazz bass to me. The mids drop off with both pups on full hence the volume dip.
  6. I thought you were walking away from playing with bands?!
  7. In my experience you need equal parts skill and contacts.
  8. Tension and flexibility are also two different things.
  9. Balanced tension strings may give you balanced tension but IME, the strings suffer and you end up with unbalanced volumes between each string.
  10. A tool for those with poor technique.
  11. Jesus... just move aside and let it be. You threatening them with legal will not help. I wouldn't want you back either!
  12. Music Room selling for £18.98 including delivery: https://www.musicroom.com/rotosound-rb45-bass-strings-nickel-rotorb45?glid=gb&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=clearance&gad_source=1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIyd6V9bONhwMVK45QBh1JNApHEAQYASABEgJvE_D_BwE
  13. Another copy of a 70 year old design? Zzzz.
  14. But if you have one strap for each bass... 😎
  15. Grolsch user here... and the locks are decent too *hick!*
  16. Pinegrove Leather make fantastic straps.
  17. 45-105 gauge. 40-100 felt very similar to TIs and LTFs which is not what I wanted.
  18. The tension will not change. Strings 'loosening up' is a myth. Dunlop Flats are the lowest tension traditional flats I've had experience with that aren't TIs or LTFs.
  19. How does changing the EQ increase or decrease string tension? It's impossible.
  20. Try D'Addario ProSteels. Last longer than Rotos but have plenty of punch/brightness/clank.
  21. CMD121P user. Gigged for years with no issues. Great amps.
  22. SIT Foundations and DR Pure Blues are what I'm using currently. Covers most tonal requirements.
  23. If artists had a backbone, they would leave Spotify en mass but they don't.
