  1. 34 inch scale. The nut is 39.5 mm.
  2. UPS, DHL and FedEx I've had good results with. Hermes are 50/50, Yodel are hopeless, Parcelfarce well...
  3. The bass neck will be fine... this is another one of those myths that does the rounds from time to time.
  4. Love my TM4 SL. Best bass I've ever played come to think of it!
  5. Have you ordered a Hiscox yet? Bought mine secondhand 15 years ago and still going strong.
  6. You may be dry but I know the punters won't want to get wet... played far too many 'festivals' to literally one man and his dog!
  7. MarkBass every time - amazing little combo that I've had no problems with using Fenders/Stingrays/Sandbergs etc.
  8. Yodel are the ones to avoid IMO. Nobody wants to hear the sentence, "We have delivered your package but it's on the roof"!
  9. Has anyone tried the Darkglass Vintage Microtubes?
  10. Or... it's a YouTuber who wants a few more hits on his video so signed up to Basschat just to plug it.
  11. How does the VTDI and YYZ differ? Are they similar circuits?

    EHX Big Muff

Great thread! Which Muff have you found has the most mids? All Muffs I use tend to just get buried in the mix when you engage them.
  13. What makes a great bass? A great sound guy!
  14. I've ditched my amps and only use a DI box now... much easier to haul around!
  15. Does it retain the lows? Is the original signal left alone? A lot of cheaper pedals I've found seem to have a nasty habit of cutting the lows...
  16. Does the Radial ProDI or Radal JDI count? Only DI boxes I seem to use these days!
  17. I am after an overdrive pedal that gives me a little more grunt than my TC Spark Booster. I play a Sandberg TM4 primarily. I know some ODs don't work so well with active bass and just end up 'bottoming' out. I'm not after a fuzz or anything like that, more of a valves being pushed into regular overdrive territory. Cheers!
  18. I have a Sandberg TM4 with the Black Label pups and it's fantastic.
  19. I've had the Polytune app for a couple of years - great little app.
  20. Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone. Blimey, off topic is a bit stand offish isn't it?!
  21. Started with a pick, ended up with fingers!
  22. Sandberg sounds like the answer to me.
