1. Who's got jimmy page?
Both Sold
2. Ah well, the Entwistle is going going.... going! Should be mine very soon! Inspired after watching his biography on sky the other day... found dead in bed with a stripper and good amount of cocaine... nice.... Will be pride of place on my mantlepiece!!
3. I knew this wouldn't last long... Yep, i've decided to keep it, I knew it, I really cannot bear to part with this awesome piece of kit!! I really could do with the money, as I am test driving an Edwards B454 Bass Trombone in a week or so's time, but my parents have decided that they'll help me as opposed to regret selling this great amp, which I do really need to be honest! I'll find the money somewhere, but sure I got a great deal on this amp, and it is worth more than money to me really, so it's staying with me for the forseeable! So.. sorry guys, Merton.. hope you're happy! This ain't goin anywhere...!!!
4. Cheers Mert!! Heavy, what are you talking about man....? Its feather-light!!! To be honest, I don't find the weight all that bad really.. mainly as it isn't a huge, cumbersome piece of kit, like my 4x10 cab, which is as heavy nearly, but massive too. Any interest anyway? Don't hesitate to contact me at all. I'll stick some pics up as soon as I can! I'm trialing a bass trombone in a fortnight, and might be looking at getting that. Ah I wish I could keep this, it's awesome, and i've not had it that long.. If I win the lottery this saturday, or get the euro.. this will be taken off sale, as i'd love to keep this!!!!!! It's truly a phenomenal piece of kit!!! Needs must though
5. No, it has 2 valves in the pre if I'm correct, then solid state amp.. I think this is correct, if someone else can chime in? This is definately for sale now, not a feeler.. I have got my eyes on a bass trom... Pics soon...
Is this a full valve combo dude?
6. Hi all, I'm soo going to regret this, but I must get some money together for other things.. I'm doing most of my work on bass trombone at the moment, and for the forseeable future, and doing plenty of professional and amateur work around the area. I'm studying with a renowned professor of bass bone, and should be studying at the RNCM or a London college next year...so all emphasis is on my bass trombone work. I'm looking at purchasing a different bass trom anyway, that would work better for me, namely a dual bore Edwards B454 or a DB Rath R9 bass. I need to free up some money now anyway, and as I use my AH400SMX head with Peavey 2x10 cab all the time now, and also have a 4x10 and 1x15, the V-type combo isn't getting the use it deserves. I really could do with the money thats tied up in it, as it is vital to go towards the price of a new bass trombone.. by buying this, you'd be helping me so much, I hate to say it, as I love this combo! It's in awesome condition anyway, plays superbly, really sounds very very special! The pre amp is sublime, and the speakers are very precise, and have a great tone! Rated at 290W, probably puts out some more than that to be honest!! I can add pictures, and talk about more details if anyone is interested. I'm looking for £350, with pickup in Blackpool area. I could do with every penny, with a new Edwards bass bone retailing at £4250 now!!! I seem to remember, this is what it cost me, and would look into postage if someone is very interested! Like I say, I hate to have to put this up for sale, but needs must unfortunately!! Sorry Merton!! I'd love to keep hold of it, hope you can see my reasons. I'll add more details soonish, and edit this thread as time goes on... If anyones interested anyway, please get in touch! Thanks very much! Best wishes, Matt p.s I reserve the right to remove from sale at any time!
7.
Looking to resolving the hi-fi thing really thanks. (However still looking for around a 30" short scale bass!) As they're quite bulky/hefty too I don't think postage is an option either. Cheers Pete.
Ahh no worries Pete, thought i'd ask and see! I have a old P, could chop 4 inches off that if thats any use? Cheers, Matt
8. I might well be in central Manchester this coming Sunday? Not sure if that's any good? If not, i'd be happy at that for postage? Many thanks!! Matt
9. How much do you reckon postage might be, if that's an option? You don't fancy a trade for a Marshall practice combo at all? Matt
10. What would postage be, I'd be very interested if we could sort that? can send you a cheque and what not? Thanks very much!!
11. Oh dear... you know you fancy the trade Geoff!! 4ohm too! Perfect!
12. Hey all, I'm still in that frame of mind where I fancy something different in my line up. The Trace Elliot V-type combo is prized in my setup, and its a truly phenomenal piece of kit, as its previous owners will agree. I'll probably regret this, as I love this combo!! I'm doing more theatre work these days, and also play in a professional soul/disco/pop lineup. Every gig I really feel I'd like to use unit which incorporates 10"s, and ideally I'd like to get into using a quality head with 2x10 cab. I am as a result wondering if anyone has something they'd like to trade or part ex, with money one way or another, depending on what is offered. I'm looking for. Combos- swr redhead, eden metro, markbass... Etc etc Or then I'd trade for a high rate head, or a high end 2x10 cab, epi 310 or whatever......, or similar.. Whatever, please pm me with some offers, and I'll give my opinion... Cheers all, much appreciated!! Best wishes, Matt
13. That looks fantastic!!!! I'll have to get one one of these days, verrrry nice!
14. Oh wow!! Very nice... 7:24 in the video, shame theres no PU/bridge covers. Very smart though, wish I could!
15. Ohh Daf, now thats stunning!! If only, I can't wait until full time employment and being able to afford one in 10's of years to come! I wish! Hope things are well! Best wishes, Matt
16. Oh sweet!!! That looks great, is it on Bay yet? I've missed this thread completely!! PM'ed momentarily!!
17. Ooo thats beautiful!! Beautiful finish, nice fretboard!!
18. Arghh! Hmm afraid I can't go for it then, unless someone fancies some Trace Elliot?
19. Would you be interested in trade for another combo, plus cash your way at all?
20. Where abouts in the NW are you based? Might be rather interested!!
21. ??? Gareth, what!? How could you even consider parting with her?! I guess there are more important things in life, but everything about that one bass that is truly awesome, way beyond most other basses! Sure you'll do the right things.. Can always have a holiday round mine if she isn't getting the gigs!
22. Do you still have the Hiscox case? I tried my 7 in a friends, which he has his 36" Overwater in, and my 7 fitted in it perfectly, like a glove! I'll check if you still have the case, but might be very interested!! Cheers! Matt
