1.
Just for reference, you should NEVER run a valve power amp without a speaker load. There's a fair chance the (expensive) output transformer will go if you do.
Does this account for my Trace AH400SMX too? Though the valve in that isnt actually powering anything is it? I used if a couple of times with just headphones plugged into it, no cabs...
2. Glad you like the bass, at 16, I feel damn lucky to own her, with a massive thanks to Chris May and my awesome parents with helping me get it !! With the full range Trace Elliot stack, it sounds the dogs danglies!! I love it to pieces..! The 3 pin XLR is a balanced line output and can only be used on a balanced input - found on better mixing desks - it is really for studio applications and won't work in an ordinary live/amp situation. Thanks, Best Wishes, Matt D
3. My Overwater Custom Six. Mahogany Body, English Walnut Top, Maple/Bubinga Neck, Rosewood Board, Fullover Top and so on.... Pics tell more
4. Styling is different, but I bet they are very nice to play, made by a proper luthier/bassist I would go for it, depending on price of course. How much if you dont mind me asking...?
5. Looks quite a nice instrument for the money that...! Although I feel the price is a little high, though if it is mint it should be about right. Mr Overwater (Chris May) took my £££ though Ohwell, I have a DB in mind at the moment. Those Chinese ones look quite sexy actually, and I believe that they are of good quality too. The Chinese are going to be like the Japanese are now in a few years probably, turning out some serious pieces of kit! I would be very tempted to go for that one posted above maybe...!! Good luck man, Matt
6. Dammit, I have seen them on Ebay too. Oh well, if thats the price theyre going for Im gonna keep it all. Might stick a Fender logo on the Westy and look smug.. Think this lot cost me at least £250..!! If someone gives me an offer I might accept!! Il try and do a private sale with a younger pupil who wants a bass, if my mate has any... hmm
7. Damn, I got excited then, thought someone was interested. You can have the curtains if you want. My mum likes all this old style furnishings...

12. Wow, I was exactly the same!!
I was randomly picked out of my music class in the first year of high school and sent to get a lesson. The rest, as they say, is history. Picked up bass guitar a couple of years later- a better way to go IMO than BG to DB.
13. Might be interested...Will get back to you.
14. Hell, I think that would be the best bet then, as that kind of money for that rig in my books is a bargain...!!

I will bring my full Tracey stack for you to use, for the 'Mark King' experience with the JD Supernatural!! I must get a lift this time!! haha, I may even be driving by then
18.
Vintage to me means before I was born
I consider my teachers Ken Smith BT6 to be vintage. 1989..... I was born in 1990!! I looks vintage, but feels awesome You can still buy Smiths with that shape, and it is called the 'vintage' body!!
19. This bass is sat around now doing nothing, in its gig bag hidden away where it wont get damaged, it is surplus to my needs. I have tried to look after it, and it is in mint condition with only a couple of minor knocks. I am going to fit a brand new set of strings too. It would make a great starter bass, and for that reason, I am going to make it into a nice little package. I will include the combo amp, lead, straps, tuner, bag etc... The amp is as new, and I will supply it with the original box. It has never left my house. I want £150 for this lot. It cost me much more, and it is only a couple of years old. I am based in Blackpool, and would rather we meet or pick up... I may be able to post if I get chance, but that will be extra (+postage costs) I will trade for almost anything. Drop me an email if you have anything to trade. Effects, Amps, Any Instruments (not neccesarily bass) looking for double bass, tuba, trombones, basses, etc. Car Let me know.... I may add a bit of extra cash.... Thanks very much, Take care. Matt Denney
