4 Ashdown cabs. ABM410 x 2 ( one is an old 410 combo cut down) ABM210 Compact ( 500 watt version) ABM115 Compact ( 500 watt version) ✌️ -
No love for the EHX Black Finger on here? It’s definitely a character compressor and can get super squishy, but on the lighter settings it’s a nice tube stage.

Thanks for that mate. I’ve only recently discovered Mogwai and I love the music. I’ve always been a fan of dynamic / atmospheric music and I love a massive fuzz sound so they are right up my street! i have a P bass with an EMG geezer so I’m most of the way there already. ✌️

Anyone know of a decent rig run down video or article for Dominic? Love his playing and his distorted/fuzz sound and noticed he uses an EHX Knockout, so was wondering what he gets from that? any input appreciated. ✌️

If they’re momentary why do you need indication on them? They’re only active when you have your foot on the switch aren’t they?

Help setting up a rig with Ashdown CTM 100
DaleASmith replied to Kateplaysbass's topic in Amps and Cabs
This thread answered the very question I had having just bought the CTM100. 👍 Has anyone looked at upgrading the CTM100 outputs to Speakon? I guess it would depend on whether they PCB mounted or not. -
Arrived!!

there is currently one of these 2x15 V type cabs for sale near to me. Quite tempted to grab it.
-
Took 5 of us to organise the pickup. Me, my mate, my mates mate who owns a joinery business, my mates mates employee who was working in Cornwall at the time, and Marc, the seller. 😂

As anyone following @spyder sale thread will know, new amp incoming. Currently on a UK tour before landing in Hull on Friday. ✌️

The old 80s TE gear was pretty much the best you could buy at the time. No wonder it still sounds great today. I know a couple of people who swear by the old cabs. They deliver a really punchy sound that most modern cabs can’t match.
-
Thinking of adding a tug bar in the usual P Bass position below the neck. Just for aesthetics like the added picture. Still planning on the EMG geezer pickup. What’s everyone’s thoughts on the ashtray bridge cover?

Nice quality plate from NW guitar parts.
-
Yeah it’s a great pickup. High output but I really like the tone. Aside from anything else the sound from them both will match which is useful playing live.
-
Yes definitely. I have one in my Jaguar and I love it.
-
Off the Fender custom page. LPB looks darker than mine but as mentioned there is a fair bit of variation. i was toying with the idea of a white/cream pickup, but that would depend on the ‘plate
-
Yes. They’re just starting production on a bass version, which has a couple of additional features.

the new JPT-FX Bass Jive will be great. The original jive is a great drive pedal for anything.
