  1. The Dockyard! I know, it's a Naval Base nowadays. Peter
  2. It looks a beauty. I love mine and would recommend it strongly as an extremely well built bass that takes no prisoners in the tone department (a good thing imo). Comfortable with great necks too. There were some being sold cheaply a while back but now that has dried up you'll struggle to get a new one for under £1k. So £600 sounds good to me for a beautiful birdseye finish. Peter
  3. Best person to ask is Alan who has owned a Wal and probably give you some ideas. Peter
  4. Isn't there a Warwick employee on the Warwick forum? Maybe he should have gone there for advice. John, you are EXACTLY the sort of bloke Warwick SHOULD be employing! Peter
  5. Surface scratching It looks more like it's had a huge force appled to the control area which has resulted in a considerable crack into the control cavity.
  6. Any of you guys know of a drummer who may be interested in making it to Newby Bridge? Peter
  7. Thanks for the nice comments. This really needs to go. Peter
  8. Is there a dubya in Harrogate? It's a real beauty, superb. Love the fretboard too. Big congrats. Looking forward to the review.
  9. Not a Roland Cube 30 by any chance?
  10. Bumperoo, feel free to make me an offer, I can only say no. Interesting bass related items considered in trade too. Stanley Clarke Alembic for a straight swop anyone?
  11. A chance to get in before BF? There's a Wiki/Search is your friend
  12. Yes Julian I've one in my fretless Jazz and one in my Darkstar Warmoth. Peter
  13. They look a bit ropey what with the corrosion and everything. Shouldn't you pop some nice new ones in ? (Runs for cover),
  14. Glad you went for it Julian. Peter
  15. I'm bringing along my ACG Harlot singlecut 4 and probably my Warmoth Darkstar with the ACG02 Pre. Peter
  16. I'm a fan, nice looking P.
  17. Nick, what are you like? How many? I only ever got to 22! I just know it was the fence that got you excited. Peter
  18. My sweet sounding (and looking imo) Aria is up for sale. Comes complete with a hard case, £160 plus P&P. MIJ - matsumoku. Medium, 32" scale passive Set neck with no issues, usual pitting on an otherwise functional bridge. If you'd like more pictures I can oblige. I'm in the NW. This is the last bass I'm selling and I've been putting the sale off because it's so nice. Yes, I do like in the Lake District and no, the photo's weren't taken recently Peter
  19. Shuffle! Blues scale? Turnarounds? Triplets (no not Grandchildren)? Any help? Seriosly Alan I have the definitive collection of instructional media with several Blues 'How to's' if you wanna borrow some.
  20. Gorgeous! I know that the waiting thing for me was a kinda double edged. There was a long term simmering excitement that a very special bass was on the horizon. I miss that now and if I had the funds another ACG would be on order (How I'd get Alan to surpass this one I don't know). The other feeling was more 'Arghh- I want instant gratification and I want it NOW!!!. Peter - generally an instant gratification kinda guy.
  21. I'll hopefully be right along. I'll be at the ACG 'centre of excellence in all things bass' with my Harlot. Just caught Dave's post above I could bring along my Warmoth Darkstar with ACG pre. It's a great advert for the pre and having only one low pass filter it's easier to illustrate how powerful one knob can be! Ooh err. Peter And Sticker please. I'll see what I may have raffle wise too. Peter
  22. That looks just loverly!
  23. Roger and his team seem like a good bunch. If perhaps they let one through that wasn't quite right I'd give them the option to sort it. Peter
  24. Just for a sec I thought this post said Statuesque Homer. No offence Alan Peter
  25. Those cynically minded might wonder if you're promoting your business
