1. It's worth remembering that neither EBS or I suspect EBBM actually make strings.
2. There was a movie with this scenario in and I can't for the life of me remember the title. Hmmm...
3. Just popped in and yes me too
4. Divide £250.50p by 50p and you might Someone remind me of the movie?
5. Yes. It was mine and was bought by another BCer.
6. Dave purchased my EBS Microbass II and was a total star! Peter
7. The best man to ask always is the man himself. Alan is a very nice guy. Happy to chat about such things. Here's his website with models and contact details as well as build diaries for every instrument he's made: http://www.acguitars.co.uk/Specs/ Basically the deepest part of the neck is slightly above the centreline and it allows for the shape of the hand better. Peter
8. The assymetric neck is a subtle feature that help with assymetric hands imo i.e. we all have assymetric hands. I'm more of a Harlot man myself and the balance seated or standing is just ace. My new Harlot is in it's final stages and I'm in Kendal. Peter
9. All gone
10. I thought the term 'choke' was just an Americanism for a simple componant? A resistor?
11. Good point Trev. Maybe we needed that reminder that there are guys that might not be as elequent as others in terms of forums/the written word but who are mighty fine bassists and people nevertheless. Hope the deal sorts itself. Peter
12. I am in the process of putting my 1st rack together at the moment. I admit it I'm a tart with a rack. It's a Boschma 3U with the DTR2000 on top LMII in the middle and when it arrives a dbx166XL compressor in the lower slot. It's a case (no pun intended) of arriving with 3 boxes, 2 x Aggie GS112's, and the Boschma with all the leads tucked in. I makes lugging stuff around so much easier and the likelyness of forgetting something less. It also looks good, the No 1 reason Personally if I see musicians checking their tuning twixt numbers I see it as a part of the process of ensuring they sound good and care.
13. B3125 - 90, well it's close! I really did think it was a 91. Either that or it's ageing well
14. The amp in question in my 'trial' was a Markbass LMII. A tuner 'out' with no mute button and no variable % for the FX loop.
15. I have a 91 NT Thumb and they are truly superb basses. Great neck, no neck dive, growly tone, active & passive, quality construction and beautiful to boot. Not at all expensive for what it is imo. Bump
16. What he said. Very interested
17. Ever jump in with both feet and then re-read the original post and think - Doh? I've just tried looping the tuner thru the FX loop and using the tuner mute (on the 1000 too) and although it attenuates the signal it doesn't kill it, sorry
18. Aha you need a DTR2000 One came with the postie this weeks. Great tuner. Got it for £129 delivered too.
19. Just as well I've got one as you drive past my door! Beautiful.
20. Is Grace Jones really 60!
21. Lovely looking bass Aandra. Bonnie wee lassie too even if she looks a bit dour. Must be a Helensburgh maid?
22. I would agree with that. I've a single one on my Warmoth and initially I wasn't so sure but now it's my No. 1 bass. Very wide frequency band imo.
23. Very nice.
Nux bars
? Now you've got me, and I AM old. Did some googling and it seems they were introduced by Rowntrees in the 50's and never really caught on.
24. That's the beauty of the beast CK. It has two channels ideally (but not necessarily) one passive and one active. One channel has sweepable mids. It has more features than a very feature laden thing. Oh and it's sold too. The Multicomp unfortunately doesn't and isn't Peter
