  1. Ian and I had a great transaction. He sold me a Grizzly O/D pedal. Excellent communication. I'm a very happy man. Thank you Ian
  2. I met up with Peter today to buy his Peavey 112 200 watt combo. The whole process was excellent. Great communication and very good to deal with. The combo is in excellent condition. It performs faultlessly and is just the job. Thank you Peter
  3. I’ve just been practicing in my little bass cupboard. I picked up this bass, that deserves a name really. Okay, so I have 4 basses. I play my 2 medium scale 90+% of the time. But, in terms of Jazz basses, playability and tone, I’ve not played better. In terms of basses generally too regardless of cost. Withdrawn. What was I thinking? For such a low return in terms of £’s.
  4. I think it’s my old bass too? Lovely instrument.
  5. Will consider trades, not just basses. What have you got? Peter
  6. No John, I just have my lovely Jazz sat forlorn, not used and with only offers I'm not so keen on. So trades are an option.
  7. Rotosounds now sold. Dunlops still available. These Dunlop flats are a lovely 'bright' flat wound string. Medium scale and a set sits on my Zoot. They sell for the region of £70 so this is a bargain. Peter
  8. The pure white reference should be the pick guard really. The body colour is a lovely cream. I love it so much that my Zoot P bass has matching colours, bass and pick guard, (including a 2nd, tort plate that I don't use). The last picture, taken with the tort plate that was easily located, is taken with a flash so therefore isn't the true colour. Here's me and my Zoot.
  9. I sold my EBS Microbass 3 to Pete. Initially the headphone amp was noisy. Pete was really good about this and we had a way ahead awaiting contact from EBS. The issue resolved itself. A pleasure and thank you. It's when things aren't completely straightforward that peoples best qualities can come to the fore. Peter
  10. I sold my Broughton HP Filter to Chris. It all went very well. Thanks you. Peter
  11. I bought an Eich T-900 from Ander. It all went well. Peter
  12. Just started up with a new band. Mature people, no prima donna's. It has all suddenly become enjoyable. I still chat with the old rhythm guitarist. They asked him to play bass. He told them where to stick it This is all water under the bridge now and I posted it at the time in part for reassurance. Given so much time I'm firmly aware that it was down to this guitarist and his personal issues. Sad as I put a lot of work in. It wasn't ever about artistic nuances. It was about his inability to play a consistent structure and then having a hissy fit when I politely mentioned it. Peter
  13. Dunlop Flatwound 45/105 Medium scale £35 now £30 SIT Foundations med light nickel 45-105 Long scale £20 now £15 Rotosound SM77 Jazz Bass Monel flat wounds. 40-100 Long scale £25 now £20 Delivered to UK addresses. Peter
  14. These were bought by me some time ago in a lovely shade of green. Overwound resistance 8.32 and 8.94 ohms in swamp green. Beware. Having such strong magnets can affect the action if you like it low. Peter https://photos.app.goo.gl/M8L5dukgmaFYP9tR9
  15. I'm trying to improve the photos by using Google Photos to share, plus adding a photo of the Tort plate laid over the top. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZjmK6Lf8rWVDbxBM8 Success methinks. As you can now see, it's a stunning example. Peter
  16. When I’m too old and stooped to play John I’ll let you know
  17. Lovely cab. I have a pair. Surprised it hasn’t been snapped up.
  18. I am of course open to reasonable offers for this bass that punches well above its weight imo. Shipping wise I’d consider it with the neck removed (but in the box)
  19. In mint condition, no box and velcro on rear.
  20. Kinda wonderful
  21. It is with a heavy heart that I put this bass up for sale. Having owned well over 100 basses including many boutique brands I have to say that this Jazz really is a bit special. I bought it from BCer Nick Carey some years past. It was his main gigging bass and he had Mr Robinson of Bolton do a fret dress and setup from new. Hipshot tuners were also fitted. It comes with a bright white pick guard and a red tort plate (that I need to lay hands on). It is a beautiful cream/off white and the condition is quite superb as hopefully the photos show. I fitted the Gotoh bridge which went on as if it was made for the bass, which is was. No height adjustment needed. The original is also available. The electrics have also been upgraded to CTS pots and high quality capacitors. The playability and tone are remarkable. I did try alternative after market pickups but they weren't as good as the originals that swiftly went back in. I've no spare case for the bass so local collection or meet-up is much preferred. I'm in the NW (Kendal) not far from the M6. Strung with low mileage Dunlop flats and it has Dunlop strap pins. It's quite light too at about 9ib. Reason for sale? I've moved to 32" scale and my 2 Zoots do the job nicely. Would consider trade for LMII or similar. https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZjmK6Lf8rWVDbxBM8 Price dropped further to £425
  22. Reasonable offers considered. I’m looking at another pedal and I’d like to sell this before the other unit goes. Peter
