Hi to you too old fella, it seems to be there are lots of grumpy old gits playing bass in our area, perhaps we should form a society where we can all moan about the guitarists!🤣

Too old for travelling and playing regular back to back gigs but still alive and happy to join up for local gigs. Blues Rock n Roll Rythm and Blues Country rock whatever. Willing to work hard but please no rehearsal bands as my lifes too short. Own PA (can do vocals) modern lightweight gear and own transport. My last hurrah was sunk by the pandemic and the guitarist is no longer well enough to play so I am at a loose end.

Okay, after recently advertising for a Chowny SWB-1 short scale bass it seems that they don't come reccomended. Can anyone suggest a decent alternative? I already have a Hofner HCT Club bass which is great for the old stuff but was looking for something to stand in for my Fender '60s reissue Jazz. You may be thinking why bother, but age is affecting my hands and I need something a little less demanding to fret when gigging. Thanks.

Hello all, thought it was about time to join before I grow too old.( what is it about always managing to quote a song). Been playing a long time but not so much these last few years. Fender '60s reissueJazz in candy apple red Hofner HCT Club bass in traditional sunburst Markbass Little Mark Tube 500 Head Markbass 151P traveller cabs As you can see I have lightened the load with the Markbass gear after over 20 yearsof using Trace Elliot. Play mainly Rythm 'n' blues these days.
