  1. Thanks for answer. Main questions that i wrote were: "Who used them in live band, gigs, recording?" And "Tell me please, how are they now, through years? What bass is better in mix, what bass has better "to live with" option?" - questions about experience from people who work with basses. I mean people who work in band, who record them and use in live situations
  2. Trbx line was presented more than 10 years ago. 604/5 models are a little bit younger. And i wrote about triyng
  3. I think you, probably, did not read my post, friend
  4. Hi! Many years ago i had a TRBX305. It was loong ago. Now i want to get back to Yamaha and can't decide what to buy - 305 or 605. Tell me please, how are they now, through years? What bass is better in mix, what bass has better "to live with" option? I've heard that 504/5 had some problems with preamp long time ago, and electronics are same in 604/5. I have a nice P bass and want to have a decent modern work horse for live gigs and recording. So, in long run what is better bass for work- 305 or 605? Who used them in live band, gigs, recording? They are old models and we don't have them in stores, so i can't try 605. I will order one of them. My biggest concern is that 605 is named as boutique'ish sounding bass, what in most cases means that it will be buried in mix. Money is not an issue, I've seen Abe use both 305 and 505, but i want only one of them. Thanks in advance guys! Waiting for answers
  5. I switched to Dunlop Pitch Black 0.60 after i saw Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood interview. Truly, sound is consistent over all strings, it is impossible to overpluck a string, pick works like a compressor in some way. And it doesn't fight with our fat strings. Pitch black series picks are more comfy for me than regulat orange
  6. Ken Lawrence Chamberbass fretless, yes, found it already
  7. Wow, what a beautiful instrument! What is it?
  8. Same as with pets - we buy stuff for them that they don't need. We need it to buy it for them, it's like toys for us, but camouflaged
  9. Ah, now i know! "Some say the extra mass and pair of eyes at the headstock helps with tuning stability, fretting accuracy and sexual attractiveness especially among the puppet community" © ped
  10. Is there any real purpose to do this?
  11. Omg, what an intrigue! What is a deal with finger puppets?
  12. A cinematic masterpiece, without a doubt!
  13. It will indeed. Ramps were a thing few years ago. They truly helping with fast plucking, you don't dig into the space under the strings and fingers pops up from ramp. But fashion is off right now
  14. This thing on a nut (not directly on nut, but a little bit behind, on the tuners side, i touch nut, but not strings under fretboard. It muting rattling and parasite tones of strings that vibrates after the nut. It does not mute your open string tone, it cleans up a little bit. Good for recording. And for muting when tapping.
