  1. So if you've been paid back, who technically owns the bass now, the insurance co presumably ?
  2. Not heard "Determinism" bandied about for years I used to like a bit 'o Schopenhauer me...
  3. I just looked back at stuff I've bought to check, and I got the zero fret direct from Tonetech luthier supplies, give them a bell or an email, they were very quick and efficient to deal with as I recall. They'll certainly be able to advise and supply ( it was about 8 quid I think)
  4. You can certainly get flat non radius zero frets, I looked at all this a couple of months back, have a look on ebay there's a few sellers and both types are available for sure.
  5. Yep, I wish I'd kept the Hondo P bass, certainly they're a hefty lump but that doesn't bother me tbh ...I think I got about the usual 50 quid for it when having stupidly ill advised "clear out"
  6. That's a cool little bass you got there, not bad for the money inc a hard case ... Maida Vale PUs are another good one to consider, it's a guy from the UK who makes and sells them on ebay, they're only about £30
  7. Well if i miraculously become a multi millionaire, I'll give you a bell and we'll shoot over there and try some tunes..!
  8. Would've thought a pair of wire side cutters..
  9. That'd be the one in Kingston then, rather than the one of the same name in Warrington Cheshire !
  10. They have some nice gear in that studio, check that rack full of saxophones too....
  11. Or tied up in a shipping container bound for......?
  12. Guess it's all a bit of pot luck then, very much try, and close examination, before you buy
  13. The 3 Ricks I had were all 70s 4001s and the necks were fine with no issues.. So maybe it's a later production, later models thing ?
  14. Top man 👍 many thanks for all the info, hopefully I'll make some sense of it all
  15. I just ordered the Beringer doodah you recommended ( or rather got one of my associates with amazon to! ) so hopefully should have that tomorrow, allegedly.
  16. I imagine it could have great fun potential ! There you go Prof.. Another good reason to grab yourself a Rick 👍
  17. The rick-o-sound plug hole always amused me too.. Not that I ever once used it on any of the Ricks I had....never had 2 amps at one time...
  18. Funnily enuff father, i know its a 32 bitsa coz i found out previous, like..
  19. Im sure it'd do for my purposes, I'm not spending 140 quid for sure !! As for the computer It's a cheapo s/h laptop with windows 10 ( not sure if it's a "snide" version!) It doesn't get used for much unsurprisingly, so not filled to capacity I wouldn't think
  20. Would you say the behringer thing is a significantly better way than just going into the laptop via leads ?
  21. I've got one of the jam man ones, the basic old version, you can play a sequence, phrase, etc doing a bit of rather awkward foot tapping on the pedals to start and stop "recording" your riff or whatever.. You can then play over it, and record more layers if desired. I've just used it very occasionally, more just to try ideas out over a basic sequence/pattern type of thing, tho folk do some very impressive stuff with them.. There's lots of YouTube vids going into these in depth.
