  1. Good point no one wants to end up like that 😁
  2. Try a bit of electric shock therapy instead..?
  3. I've got various instruments leaning in corners and stuff around the place, that I can pick up whenever, I also will Twang at them unplugged sometimes. When plugged in I'll mainly run into a multi fx thing or small mixing desk whatever and use headphones, I've also got an old Zoom Mrs recorder thing that's got lots of drums on to play along with, again with headphones. I reckon it's a good plan to always have instruments easily to hand that you can pick up and play without too much faffing about.
  4. While not being a fan of talk @ss, there's a long thread with much info on the Squier bass VI on there. Obviously you have to trawl thru a large wad of drivel, but there's some useful tech ideas and stuff so might be worth a look, here's a link to the last page.. https://www.talkbass.com/threads/official-squier-vintage-modified-bass-vi-club.1020321/page-114
  5. Returning to shocks on stage for a moment, wasn't Alex Harvey's brother fatally electrocuted by a shock between mic and guitar as I recall..?
  6. I don't even want to think about you in a leotard... 😱
  7. Chewing gum goes quite hard after a few months....
  8. Always Nilo, always
  9. I'm sure those kind of "services" are available down your way...
  10. That'd be a "teaser" you have in mind there
  11. His nose will be getting considerably bigger then, does the crappy old acoustic thing come with it as a freebie, and the "magic" carpet ?
  12. Nah.. That was a bolt "through" the neck 😁
  13. Beard Taser.. 😁
  14. That's a good plan of course, if there's a decent one anywhere nearby... They'd sort it easily no doubt, hopefully tho it'd be one that wouldn't make an expensive "mission" out of it
  15. If the nut is off you should be able to get a regular hex nut of the same thread, tho I dont know for sure if they'd be metric or imperial thread (someone like @Bassassin would likely know) You'd likely have to file the outside of the nut to get it in the gap, or if you're lucky it might go on with a small socket wrench from one of the tiny sets? You'd prob need a small washer or two as well.
  16. Assuming the thread on the rod is ok.. If you can identify the thread then you can get, or make, another nut, in the latter case you may well need a thread tap of the right size, depends if you're OK with a bit of simple ish metalwork?
  17. Woah, proper serious "jazz" face there.. 😁
  18. Thanks for that comprehensive rundown @ezbass I was toying with the idea of a build project that the neck from one of these might do nicelyπŸ‘
  19. Not got one or even held one... but what's the scale length on these, and general neck shape, nut dimensions etc?
  20. Top man! πŸ‘ Great stuff.. and on to the next one...
  21. All the best.. You'll be great πŸ‘
  22. I've been in a number of bands where backing stuff, either tape, or in later era incarnations laptop, was a fundamental part of the whole thing, ok we're not talking karaoke singlong backing tracks, but lots of layered sounds synths and whatnot, the whole thing wouldn't have been viable without it tbh.
  23. You've been sniffing at the Zoff plaster remover again haven't you...
  24. Stop talking about japanese porn, it gives entirely the wrong impression ... 😁 The Arias of that period were certainly v. good kit, a guitarist I played with at that period had the guitar equivalent and it sounded and played brilliantly , I remember having great fun fooling with it upside down with the strings the wrong way round ( he was a lefty )
  25. The big ones you'd never even get in the neck of those li'l "aifix" paints.. πŸ˜‚
