  1. That's the oneπŸ‘ I knew he had some skeleton cupboard thing going on.
  2. I wonder if your colleagues will say.... "mate, that D's just mental.! ..."
  3. Good stuff thanks πŸ‘ I've used LO on things like wooden tool handles in the past to try and preserve them, but obviously in those cases I've just sloshed it on as it didn't matter what it looked like or if it stayed a bit tacky for a while. I'll have an initial go over the weekend
  4. How long did you leave each coat to dry before recoating btw? I assume you wiped it on with a rag..
  5. Having seen the ones on here I think I'll give the boiled linseed a go, I believe the EBMM lot use oil finishes on their stuff these days too.
  6. Oh, I don't know.. It's got the gritty "meths drinker" vibe going for it....
  7. Wasn't there some dodgy doings around Robert Wagner now I come to think about it?
  8. I was watching an interesting video on YouTube recently about bands in the Soviet union, the "official" ones had to be state approved and run their lyrics past a party committee for approval, the non officialy approved bands could subject to arrest and a couple of years in a labour camp. It always amused me when I was at college in the 70s how it was very trendy to be pro Soviet, and yet wondered how those guys would actually fare in a truly ruthless totalitarian police state like that, a very nasty culture shock I'd think
  9. If they had a sax player he could've done the Benny Hill theme schtick too....
  10. I've done covers in a context where people have expected an accurate representation of the songs they know and love, in which case I'd stick to what's on the record, or as close as no one would know the difference, within reason. But I've also done covers in otherwise original bands, that we've included a cover very much "in our own style" in which case it's no holds barred. Very often radically different covers are great, and can be most inventive.
  11. Bolted together by some computer program thingy ..
  12. That's what charity shops are for 😁 Tbh I'd probably keep it in the garage for when I needed something to lie on working under the car...
  13. Not some of the bog seats I've encountered it isn't 😳
  14. I've got a Stingray neck to do and I have boiled linseed, a big 5ltr can of it, and was considering it as a finish. I'd also like a vintage-y colour, I'm wondering if the oil alone would do this if built up in layers. The Ralf1e thing with turmeric is interesting but I did try the powder form in some water on something else and it went a horrible canary yellow so won't be doing that! Guess it's the oil or buy some tinted nitro... Can you nitro over linseed if its properly dried btw ?
  15. Yeah but, no but.. When did Australia become part of Europe...??
  16. Well, we all find different things attractive or not, it'd be boring if we were all the same!
  17. Looks bloody good to me πŸ‘ I don't think the lines would show from a few feet away under gig conditions anyway...
  18. People seem to like them sound wise, I can't give an opinion as I've never tried one.. The thing that always put me off was that to me they're pig ugly looking.
  19. International Bright Young Thing, J. Jones
  20. No one in fact knows what the 'H' in Jesus H Christ actually stands for.. Scholars have suggested it might be "Horse" their thinking being that one of the earliest depictions of Christ shows him with a horses head.. Spooky eh😁
