    People seem to like them sound wise, I can't give an opinion as I've never tried one.. The thing that always put me off was that to me they're pig ugly looking.

    No one in fact knows what the 'H' in Jesus H Christ actually stands for.. Scholars have suggested it might be "Horse" their thinking being that one of the earliest depictions of Christ shows him with a horses head.. Spooky eh😁

    I'd just do the obvious and take the G off, rather than leave it annoyingly in the way. I've got a cheapo Les Paul Git thing that I've taken the 2 outer strings (the E's) off to create a "tenor guitar" so I'm obviously a psycho too 😁

    You let the magic smoke out....! I would just get a couple of ordinary replacement pots and wire the PU to them as a regular passive thing. Would only cost pennies comparatively.
