  1. I knew I'd seen you somewhere before...
  2. That's what I was thinking 👍
  3. I could even set the middle strip lower and not have to create a channel at all, I like the less work option 👍
  4. Zoom seem to be winning at the mo then A pedal I do like is the old Boss ME50 which I've had for years, it's the standard Git version but has pretty much the same stuff on it as the ME50B as I recall from when I had one of those.
  5. I may poss. look at another (thin) strip down the centre if I can find something suitable
  6. My real name is actually Rumplestiltskin, but you try telling that to some smart arsed copper when you get a tug in your battered BMW 3 series...
  7. G&L was the one I had in mind but couldn't remember 👍
  8. There's often confusion with who's in The Plank, Eric Sykes swapped his role in a subsequent version with Arthur Lowe, Sykes taking the Cooper part ( I think! )
  9. Once owned by a "famous" player, used in a "famous" band, etc.. Will sometimes even name said band or player..
  10. I hate to raise this, but... There is a fatal problem with your Icelandic, and I'd refer you to Snorri Sturlusson and the Prose Edda, particularly the Skaldskaparmal.. You're failing to take account of the correct Skadlic meter.. When properly translated your name should in fact appear as Frank Plank ( hth )
  11. Thanks for the input guys, I'm just thinking in my case it might be easier while I've got the 2 halves separate.. I've got an idea one of the posh manufacturers used to do a Truss channel kinda like this once ?
  12. Damn, I was looking forward to that A mate had a few family VHS tapes converted to digital recently, so if you ever do... 👍
  13. I'm thinking now as its got a joint down the middle, could I do a small rebate on the inside edge of both pieces before gluing to create the Truss rod groove (in two halves kind of) I wonder ? Rather than having to plough it when the 2 bits are one.. Just a thought
  14. She knew what she was talking about then, my old Mum, bless her...
  15. Elastic Love, C. Aguilera
  16. Nah, we did that kind of stuff in the 80s
  17. Btw @snorkie635 thanks so much for starting this.. 👿.. I've now been down the deep rabbit hole of the Banana Splits on YouTube , have the theme tune forever in my head, and have been tying to freeze frame the grainy footage of the intro to work out exactly what "groovy" 60s guitars the characters in furry costumes are dancing around with..One seems to be a Vox teardrop shape semi acousti.......................
  18. I apologise in advance btw... .. Now, if you were in a Somerset based Joy Division tribute band it could be.. Klozerr
  19. Then there's the one entitled "base guitar".... with a photo of a cheap Strat copy, or in extreme cases a tatty 6 string acoustic / classical
  20. Oh I don't know about that... "Owen Roadkill" is more interesting, it says kind of twisted psycho character in an apocalyptic road movie type malarkey ... 😁
  21. Hopefully the "perfect" bass will be more reliable & last longer..
  22. Selling for my son / daughter who is going to uni... Selling for my son / daughter who has upgraded to guitar... Bought for my son / daughter to learn on, hardly ever played....
  23. Nice 👍 I'd probably be just joining 2 pieces down the centre rather than a multi striped laminate like yours, I assume this would work, or is there a reason, other than appearance, to have multi layers? My 2 strips joined would easily give enough width to carve out all I'd need for the neck, possibly with small wings for the headstock added later.
  24. A cute dog or cat will sometimes be seen in the pics too...
