  1. In my experience most punters wouldn't appreciate the difference between a bass and a guitar anyway, it's just "a couple of blokes playing guitars.."
  2. Like it.! Have to say I've never heard of these basses, looks cool tho.. a bit like an upside down rickenbacker painted by Salvador Dali 😁
  3. 2 bass players, what's not to like 😁 There's been a quite a few that have done the twin bass thing I'm sure, a version of King Crimson did as I recall.
  4. Nice.. Kind of looks the part for punk too😁
  5. I've probably done so too 😁.. not on a guitar case tho ( as far as I can remember..)
  6. There's been some cracking P basses for sale on here recently in your price range, I'd have looked no further than that.. 😁
  7. I was convinced from the start that has to be a faulty amp, if you still fancy that particular model try another one before writing off the whole idea....
  8. Long Shot Kick the Bucket, Pioneers
  9. If weight was an issue with me I'd just be looking at semi acoustic / hollow body instruments tbh, which by comparison weigh virtually nothing...
  10. Cats love a nice plush case too.. πŸ‘
  11. Let's go Round Again, AWB
  12. You should have just gone up and "nutted" him.. You'd have been the hero of the party.. πŸ˜‰
  13. If you over-analyse.. you'd never buy anything, go anywhere, do anything... Life's too short for all that, if it's a good song and fits in your set, show, whatever.. play it..
  14. Best to get used to both pick and fingers equally I'd say πŸ‘
  15. Sounds like you had a blast ! Top job πŸ‘
  16. Play with a pick..! 😁
  17. Give them a bell speak to a real person if poss ASAP, I would..
  18. Clearly that particular one is $hagged, I'd certainly tell them to collect it back and get a refund, end of, and take a view whether you try another one from somewhere else..
  19. Replacing like with (more expensive) like, is probably not going to make much difference, as mentioned above.. I'd tend to mod if it's result is something you can't really get off the shelf or at a realistic price, again like the headless thing I did, you could not go out and buy that (in the unlikely event you wanted to😁) plus the donor and parts were v. cheap in the scheme of things. Lots of folk put basses together out of parts they've got plus a few bits off ebay (or here) tho arguably do those actually count as Mods?
  20. If poss, I'd just find somewhere that has them on the shop floor so to speak, try one or two out, and if they're any good (with no issues) say "I'll take that one please".. It's not going to get busted by couriers either if you go get it yourself.
  21. Shergold Quadulator..?
  22. Never knew Andertons did shoes, every day's a schooldays eh....
  23. That's a bummer, sounds to me that they've sent you a damaged / faulty unit.. They can't all be like that, surely...?
  24. I think modding can be viewed as part of the fun in many cases tho.. The Headless Rick thing I did was, (to me) an interesting and informative project, I didn't spend a great deal on it being "Johnny Skintbloke" as I am
