  1. I'm suspecting it's made in photoshop tbh! 😁
  2. Someone wanted all their necks, in one neck....
  3. Nah... I can only do 4 strings at a time
  4. Don't get me wrong, I've done lots of stuff with old "classic" cars and rebuilt a few from scratch, but at the end of the day they're a Metal Box and a tool, not a living thing, and I can't get emotional about them really.
  5. I had a Jack (in black) that I used for gigs quite a bit, was great and likely should've kept it, I think I got some pittance for it when flogged, a little over 100 quid
  6. I'd say it's good to distill it down to just what you like and feel good about, and concentrate on playing rather than fussing about kit. I've never really been emotionally attached to instruments as such, there's ones I've particularly liked, but they're a lump of inanimate wood at the end of the day. It's like getting attached to a car, I don't really get that either.
  7. I guess fretted/fretless is a main one... I'd maybe have regular tuned fretted and high tuned or piccolo fretted.
  8. Or "Holds a Rum ol' Todger" for those more seedy venues (with a stripper)
  9. Yikes!... I wouldn't even know where to start with that....
  10. Well I'm sure a view would be a source of great entertainment.. go on, you know you want to.. You can always pixel out any untoward "todger" action.. 😁
  11. I'm an avid exponent of cheapo gear, my most useful basses were 100 quid, and the other one a bit under 200. Had a few excellent FX from the forum too in the 25 to 40 quid range. Stingy / Skint there's always options...
  12. Photo of you playing it naked? You tease us Sir.. 😁
  13. Woah... Double neck Rick for me please 😁
  14. As a bass player myself I no doubt look at Mr Rutherford from his bass playing role and he's often cited as one.. obviously he also did extensive guitar duties and probably more fairly should be viewed as an all round musician.
  15. I remember their single "in my own time " when I was about 13
  16. Double neck seems to have been "a thing" going further back than I thought, this looks to be 16 or 1700s
  17. Probably best to tie a long bit of string to the headstock end, or a tootynanny strap button thing..
  18. There's some mad looking things out there when you start looking. Interesting how hofner have crammed 2 necks into one body, I saw a guitar and mandolin version of this one too.
  19. Can't go wrong for 20 squid, worth more than that for project spare parts alone 👍
  20. This is the sort of chap you want then really..
