  1. I bet this bloke doesn't actually play the guitar half....
  2. 43 grand is mental... I wonder how much Elvis's one would go for
  3. It's possible, first... See if there's any of those teeny mushrooms growing in your garden...
  4. Nah.. The pics were faked by two little girls, keep up.....
  5. Rutherford was mainly a bass bloke tho wasn't he... And Mr Smalls of course😁
  6. You don't seem to see these around much now, in the early 00s I was very tempted by a twin neck headless thing, in one of the now defunct Charing Cross Rd Git shops. I didn't in the end but have a perverse fancy for a double neck from time to time. Wondering who here has got a twinneck, and what type, fretted and fretless? Bass and Guitar? 4 string and 8? Elvis had an interesting one here, Git and Bass 6, and a Gibson too! (tho I bet it was purely a publicity pic)...
  7. I had a Wal for the shortest time, hated it and got rid of ASAP, no regret there either
  8. No1 mad swirly Psychedelic thing is great, I keep having to look at it.. 😁
  9. Indeed, if it's set on one sound throughout and the tuner's all you need, that's much safer 😁
  10. Black 73 Rick 4001... Sold it probably 2010 ish when I wasn't using it much (was using a Headless Jack for gigs etc) , needed the dosh blah blah.. Naturally regret it but what can you do, I couldn't afford another one nowadays. There were likely a couple of odd gig pics of me with it but couldn't find those to save my life.!
  11. At a gig, taking a chance and up at the front where I'd mainly be standing playing.. In rehearsal, on the deck in front of the bass amp/cab As to why, well at a gig you want it nearby rather than have to wander back to the amp (and trip over leads and stuff) At rehearsal it doesn't really matter, so with the amp and other kit..
  12. Sounds like a frustrated would-be "producer" then
  13. Surely he could have just got you to pop in and redo the bass parts if the existing signal was dodgy in some way you'd think?
  14. An odd and imperious thing for him to do. Not acceptable without the band's specific say so.. A thing I was involved with years ago did some tracks where the engineer bloke "treated" the tracks to a bit of "trimming" of the instruments, kind of microscopically chopping any sound off that wasn't bang on the beat, he did it with the bass and guitars. It ended up sounding like something computer generated after having the human " played live" element totally removed. I wasn't overly bothered as it wasn't my project but IMHO his interference didn't do it any favours at all ! Anyway I do hope you find somewhere to record that will present your music as it should be.
  15. Forget it IMHO, I'd just get one of those "licensed replacement" necks or whatever....
  16. Personally I'd jam long with the guitarist ( or whoever) and come up with something that works rather than worrying looking at chords written down on paper...
  17. They've welded some square steel tubing to form a "body" by the looks of it.
  18. Interesting, I was toying with the idea of making a DB of some kind, as I certainly couldn't afford to buy one!
  19. Orchestras must do this all the time, tho I guess they have a big budget, can you get a flight case type thing for a DB?
