  4. You could just paint it again I suppose
  5. I remember going to a gig many years ago and the bass player (Pete Way I think) had a rig that included a brightly illuminated tuner, up on the stack somewhere, which was going throughout the set as he played, really big and clear that you could "read" from the audience / mosh pit/ whatever. Funnily enough it is the thing that sticks in my mind about the gig, no idea what make or model it was, but v. handy I thought 😁
  6. Shaving Ryan's Privates, (no hang on that's a fillum...)
  7. 40 grand for any musical instrument is just mental (yes I know, stradavarius etc etc) Does anyone ever actually pay this kind of money back in real life??
  8. Can't give any useful Intel on the model, but I do like your making it headless idea ( then I would wouldn't I ).... that'd look the business as a headless 👍
  9. I've done that...
  10. Stand & Deliver, A & t As
  11. Red looks Way better on a Rick than blue, purely IMHO of course..

  17. Sign of the Times, Belle Stars
  18. I thought it was probably someone who got thoroughly plssed off with a project, threw it on the fire, but by chance it didn't burn. Then retrieved it subsequently........... etc..
  19. That's him.. 'Rumpo' was his catchphrase, or one of them..
  20. Or the classic rusty Ford Transit tipper carrying lengths of busted up old wood with a pair of grubby Y fronts tied on the end...
  21. Rumpo.... (as I recall..)
  22. Just to be on the safe side.!
  23. Very good point !.. (Tho as mentioned by Mykesbass handy for the traditional impaling of a fag on the end) I have now trimmed them down by half as much as seen, but want to leave a bit to pull on with pliers as I'm still going to be taking the strings on and off whilst continuing to fettle the whole thing. When finalised I'd chop them close to the top block of course
  24. It I guess sounds largely as it did pre-op as I've dropped the same PUs back in, for now.... it's quite clanky if bridge PU tone turned up so rick-ish in that sense. I'll likely mess with other PUs tho. As I mentioned I'll need to continue fettling it, but it's certainly playable (bear in mind it was a mega cheapo thing to begin with) and is quite fun to bang about on 😁 It's got some sounds that for instance the P bass doesn't have, so worthwhile as a bit of variety!
