How about some stuff by Bad Religion or Danzig? Some are easy, some are quite hard (to me anyway) Might be worth a look and a play.

I went to see Kiss at Finsbury Park years ago and Skunk Anansie were playing. I nodded off before any music started as It was sunny and I was woken up by someone kicking my foot. Opened my eyes and it was Skin. She said "Wake up, we are going on soon" I replied "I know but you are s**t". She burst out laughing and said "fair enough " I didn't bother watching them, but disappointed now as my tastes have mellowed and I don't mind them at all.

My mate wants to head over to the Liverpool one so we will have a mooch around that. I won't be buying anything though. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-uk-bass-guitar-show-tickets-256214603777

I'm learning "American Jesus" by Bad Religion and "Bob" by NOFX. I'm ok until it gets to the fiddly bit in the middle. These will be very easy for most of you but I'm enjoying learning.

I've just looked and to go to liverpool on Saturday and sit st the back is £112 for 2 tickets. I'll give that a miss.

I saw her a few years ago and she was great. My first ever "sit down"gig. She's probably my favourite female vocalist. Marlene on the Wall is my most best favouritist song ever.

I'd forgot all about it but im going to see Mel C. next week. I like her voice and her albums are good but my main interest in her lies elsewhere. . Plus, after chatting on here I now have a ticket to go see SLF and im quite excited about it.
-
With Ali back I might be interested. I don't suppose Henry and Dolphin are in the band as well... I'd love to see them with that line up, listening to Henry singing Gate 49.
-
I used to love SLF until they started playing half and half sets of SLF and Jam songs. Who is in the band now?
-
But is it an easy one to play? I'm not very good.
-
It'll no doubt be simple for everyone here but I'm having a go at Echo Beach by Martha and The Muffins.

Anything by "The Order of the Fly" -
How about Eddie stinky poo? Poohemian Crapsodie Eye of the Needle Up that Girl She Loves Poo Etc...

I'm surprised Cancerslug don't get more trouble. Some of their stuff is really good though. Richard Solid is a great song.

And that was actually a terrible gig as they had Bammy "singing". They were basically "Filf" covering Macc Lads songs. Bammy is now just their manager and it's bank to Muttley singing. They ate WAY better now than at rebellion.
-
The Macc Lads are still touring and afaik are not banned from anywhere now. Still a great gig although, admittedly, tamed down a bit. I don't understand how/ why people get offended. I've never understood it.

I've got tickets to see Blitzkid playing in NY early Feb 2022. Took a risk as we are flying out from uk just for the gig. I'll be gutted if restrictions stop us going.

I've got just past the first "call 999" bit of Maxwell Murder. I'm not quite up to speed and obviously dreading the solo , especially since I've not been learning long and I'm playing with fingers instead of a pick but I'm enjoying trying it (so far).

I remember seeing an interview with CJ Ramone and he said that when he joined The Ramones he had to sit with his arm in ice as it swelled up every night from playing. Johnny told him that DeeDee played with the bass slung low so that his wrist did all the work instead of his arm. He said it took some work till change his playing style but made it much easier. Last night I did a play along with Blitzkrieg Bop then straight into R.A.M.O.N.E.S. It'd be fun trying to keep that up for 2 hours+. Good luck with it. Great genre of music.

Brilliant.. thank you. I've never seen that site before. I'll be having a big tour through it.

I'm just learning R.A.M.O.N.E.S by Motorhead/ Ramones/ Wednesday 13. Nothing for you guys on here but I'm just beginning to actually have a go at songs. One id love to learn is Blood Makes Noise by Suzanne Vega but I can't find tabs for it anywhere and I'm nowhere near good enough to do it by ear.

Wife just told me she's booked tickets for us to go see Blitzkid. One of my favourite bands and really friendly blokes, happy to hang out with you after the gig. Thing is, the gig is in "The Knitting Factory" in Brooklyn NY, we live in Stoke, UK.
