lovely I have the same squier. I have been thinking how nice it would be to get the white and blue pawn shop fender to pair with it. -

A lot of the articles about new Behringer products in development seem to be lifted from social media but miss out a key element. Which is they are openly trying to work out how many people might want to buy it. In this case on Instagram they end with “What’s your interest?” Which is a bit more of a commitment than the Mooger Fooger post which clearly says it’s a prototype and asks for feed back “before we manufacture it” I think it’s a great approach. And the clones all look very cool.

I’ve decided to try a medium scale bass and I’m looking for something in the £200 to £500 range. Pre-loved preferably. There isn’t a huge amount around compared to short scale. I’ve created a list of ones I know about. What am I missing? Are there any to avoid? Currently in production Squire Jaguar Classic Vibe Squire jaguar affinity H Ibanez SRMD200 Mezzo Bass 32” Aria Pro II JB or JB1 Retrovibe R32 “Telenbacker” No longer in production Fender pawn shop reverse Jaguar Squire MIJ medium scale P Bass 80s Squire telecaster bass?? Yamaha Motion B Ibanez Roadstar RB600 Fender aerodyne jazzz japan Retrovibe may have done a 32” 51P in the past (I’m also going to post in items wanted).

A couple of people have asked about the weight. (I know, I could have predicted that). I'm away from home, will try and weigh it tomorrow evening and update the add. It doesn't feel very light, but my main frames of reference are a squire CV Mustang and a SGC Nanyo, both of which seem pretty light weight. -

For sale or trade. A great P Bass, made by The Bass Centre, created in collaboration with Attractions bassist Bruce Thomas. You can read the story of its creation here . It seems to be very well regarded by many people on this forum. I bought this from this site in May 2021 as I was getting back into playing. Including myself it’s had at least three careful owners. It’s a great playing and sounding P Bass, but I’ve hardly played it with since I got a Mustang for Christmas 2021. So I am looking to switch this out for something different. It still has the the flats it arrived with. There are screw holes for an “ash tray” bridge cover, which I took off but still have and will include with the sale. Happy with sale or trade. For trade, I’d consider anything short or medium scale, with cash going in either direction. Top of my wish list would be SS Sterling Sting Ray, G&L Tribute Fallout or Pawn Shop Mustang. Collection or meet-up only (unless it doesn’t sell for a few months). Happy to meet up in South Wales, along the M4. I also have occasional work trips to Bristol, central London and Milton Keynes. I’ve weighed it on bathroom scales and I make it 4.5 kg Price reduced to £295 for collection/meetup. (Although I am now thinking I might keep it after a few goodbye noodles).

I'll be passing PMT Cardiff tomorrow just before they close. Looks like I'll be popping in on my way.

Had fun taking my Squire CV Mustang to the local rehearsal studio this weekend.

I’ve purchased 2 sub £400 Basses over the last 12 months since picking up the Bass again. Both of which I love playing and work well with a band in a rehearsal room. A Bass Collection Bruce Thomas Profile P Bass. Second hand on this forum. A Squire CV FSR Mustang.

Very happy with Santa’s delivery this year. I haven’t been able to spend much time with if yet. But so far I love it. The neck and tone are just what I wanted. I may switch the strings to flats in the future. I fancied trying a short scale and the Mustang bass was top of my list. I love the competition stripes and lake placid blue colour of this limited edition and am very happy that they came into stock in time for my Xmas hints to come to fruit. It’s subtly sparkly, which doesn’t come out in the photos.

I finally got in a rehearsal room with my new combo yesterday. Played with a drummer and a guitarist (the louder of our two guitarists couldn’t make it). Disclaimer. I’ve recently come back to playing after 22 years. Back then I played a few pub gigs with an 160 watt Peavey TNT combo. No other experience to speak of. I’m super happy with the studio 15. It dealt easily with the situation. I mostly played with the pre gain at around 3 o’clock , volume just before 12 and the volume on my Bruce Thomas profile P Bass about 3/4 It was plenty load enough and sounded fantastic to me and the others. We recorded a couple of tracks onto a zoom multitrack recorder with the amp miked up and a couple of tracks using the zoom’s build in mics in the middle of the room. Listening back today the sound good and the bass sounds clear and the loudest thing in the room. I’m very happy with my bargain purchase.
