SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

Ashdown ABM500 rack-mount head in SKB 2U flight case. This has a silver front panel instead of the regular blue.
Ashdown ABM 410H – 8 ohms, 600 watts
Ashdown ABM 210H – 8 ohms, 300 watts
These are the proper ABM (not MAG) cabs, but have carpet covering. This was a special order as I thought it would last better than vinyl, and it has! Both have Ashdown branded covers. They both have adjustable high-frequency horns, with high/low/off switches on the rear. I bought all this brand new in 2000. I have gigged it a lot, but always looked after it. There are no significant issues other than general wear and tear. The carpet covering on the cabs has held up well. The metal handles on the 2x10 have rusted a little, but not too bad. This is a great set up and offers maximum flexibility, as one or other of the cabs can be used individually, as well as the full rig. The 10” speakers give a consistent sound and the 2x10 is plenty powerful enough for most small/medium sized gigs. Great, powerful Ashdown tone that has always received a lot of compliments. I will throw in a power lead and two speaker leads, so it’s all ready to go. Collection only from Ealing, West London. PRICE DROP TO [s]£500[/s] £400 for the lot. Cheers, Andrew SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD Ampeg 8x10 speaker cabinet for sale. This is the SVT810AV model with silver cloth. It is made in USA and I reckon about 8-10 years old. It has been used about a dozen times so it is in very good condition. There are a couple of very minor tears in the vinyl on the edges. It also comes with a Roqsolid vinyl cover - see pics. These are about £65 new. I'm sure I don't need to tell you - this is simply the best onstage bass sound you can get. Unfortunately I can no longer house it, so with much sadness I need to move it on. With the wheels and rail it is actually very moveable - stairs notwithstanding! Collection only from Ealing, West London.

NOW SOLD EBS Valve Drive. In perfect condition. Comes with original box, manual, EU Power supply (2-prong) and EBS duster! I took the rubber feet off and put velcro on the bottom, but I still have three of the feet. I think there were only ever three feet! £130 Can collect from West London, or post for an extra £10. Will be securely packaged and double-boxed. No trades. Reason for sale - I have three distortion pedals, and don't very often use distortion! These are £245 new so grab yourself a bargain. I've gone and ordered the Darkglass B3K - such a lot of good things being said about them! It's a bit of a shot in the dark anyway as I'm a distortion novice, but I was reassured by the kudos, small footprint, simple design and when I found out the 3 Leaf Audio guy is involved that was the clincher - I absolutely love my Photon pedal. Cheers for all the learned advice, and yes, tweeter is firmly turned off on the Aguilar 2x10! Andrew

Thanks guys - some great info. I don't know much about distortion so you've given me some great places to start. V helpful! Will let you know how I get on. A

Hi there, I'm after a distortion pedal. I'm running a vintage bass and valve amp, so I don't need it to warm up the sound or make it sound 'tubey', as it already does. I'm looking for something to sound raspy, but not too fizzy - if that is in any way a helpful description! Preferably with a small footprint - anything I should look into? I already have an EBS Valve Drive, but I don't need that much added warmth and is too big. I also have an Bass Blow Torch, which is pretty flexible, but just sounds too fizzy when I dial out the warmth/bottom end. Cheers, Andrew

Try the Harmony & Theory book by Mark Levine and Carl Schroeder. Not bass specific but good explanations and practical and useful way of dealing music theory, as it relates to pop music, and later getting into a bit of jazz. Andrew
