  1. I came here after googling p bass control plate template. I'm putting together by first parts bass at, I've got cheap knock jazz bass neck and swamp ash body from boobooguitars. It's got a gorgeous knot on the lower horn that I don't want to cover with a pick guard so was thinking of getting a Ray plate template but i thought it might be too large so thanks @Velarian for the visual confirmation, it would need a lot of fettling to make it look P bass appropriate. Think I'm just going to trace the lower part of a p bass pick guard and free hand the other ends curve as I would like a wooden plate for the controls. I'm going to also make a matching pick up surround as the pick up cavity route is the non eared variety which to my eyes at least is the aesthetic I'm going for this build. @WabiSabi that control plate is class dude!
  2. It's a fantastic pedal, but you're more likely to come across a finally or Underground accelerator on the 2nd market. Think this is only the 2nd SH I've seen come up since they were discontinued.
  3. +1 Almost tempted to buy this as back up but.......... I already have a back up!
  4. 99% sure all of Nathan's pedals come with JJs, I know the GS had a Sovtek when they first shipped but there were issues with those so i think he went back to JJs. If you ever fancy rolling out the stock 12AU7 i have one of these Brimar 13D5 NOS in my Space Heater (same preamp as finally.)
  5. Not sure I'd part with mine for twice that! I would have bought it from you though.
  6. I had 3 trips up there, all amazing, the last was on CCR which was incredible! I managed to get an in ear DCI due to having a PFO, had the op to have it closed dived for a few more years but packed it up about 10 years ago!
  7. I'm honestly thinking that this might be my 50th birthday present to myself in the spring!
  8. Reminds me of the Yorkshire Divers postal service back when I was tech diver! I got many deliveries and sent many goods that way and also did a few runs myself! Scapa is vibe though eh!
  9. I would bite your arm off for this if I wasn't saving up for a 310CRA! That tolex looks amazing
  10. I appreciate your post. My issue was you calling something marketing bollocks without substantiating your statement, which IMO was very clearly incorrect and you have now addressed. Thank you. The GS is modeled after the B15 but it's obviously not an exact replica, moveover it's Nathan's take on that amp and it's a pedal Nathan designed to be a clean preamp and to utilise the 6SL7 tube. Before the release of this pedal ,Nathan sold a Slampegg Bee Pre. pedal, (now discontinued) that utilised a 12AX7, had a master Vol and Gain and would overdrive quite happily. Link below. All the feedback I've seen is that the GS is a major tonal upgrade and you can stick a boost of some description in front of it and the 6SL7 will break up very nicely (but that tone is not inherent in the pedal). Slampegg Bee Pre Peace 🕊️
  11. What bass do you think will drive this pedal to be not clean then? Nathan states that it needs a pedal to overdrive this, what are your reasons for doubting this? I'm curious what your direct experience with this pedal is?
  12. "It will not be able to break up by itself. Granted running another pedal into it and pushing the front end will still allow the 6SL7 to break up, but by itself it will just be clean" Curious where you think the marketing bollocks "guarantee" was given?
  13. Situation resolved. My credit card company got me the full refund for everything, including the Mooers without having to send them back! note to self: NEVER BUY FROM BAX AGAIN
