1. I,ve had a go on this and it plays really well, typical Rick sound etc, and Karl's a top bloke too. Like your new footrest in the background Karl lol! Lloyd.
  2. I have a 2006 Jazz in sunburst, black scratchplate and rosewood neck in pretty much mint condition. I would like to trade it for a usa precision of similar value in the same colour scheme, nothing wrong with the bass, just that I have found my calling with precisions. Comes in a Fender hard case. I can deliver/meet ,supply brews, usual thing. Ta Lloyd.
  3. Hi TomTom, I'd be up for a straight sale, but bearing in mind it is showroom condition, has a cab cover and all the leads, I cant be to flexible on the price ( plus it has to fund another amp!) I'd let it go for £900 complete, and tell you what, I'll deliver it to you as well. Lloyd.
  4. I have the Tiny Terror 500w and SP212 cab, bought brand new couple of months ago from PMT in Manchester. A fantastic little amp and cab with a tone to die for, however, I want something a bit bigger ( ooeer matron! ). Here's the blurb on the amp; The Orange Bass Terror has landed. Well not quite, we’ll have to wait a few more weeks until the first shipment has arrived, but this reviewer has been lucky enough to see it, hear it and play through it and I’m here to tell you, it’s sensational! You cannot believe an amp this small can pump out 500 Watts, and that’s at both 8 and 4 ohms. It’s the same size as the Tiny Terror, about the same weight, and uses two ECC83 preamp valves and a Class D solid state power section. The single input has a pad for use with active instruments and there’s a gain and master volume. The three band EQ is cut or boost from the centre point giving a wide variety of tonal possibilities. The speaker outputs located on the rear are two Speakon sockets, which are safer than jack leads in my opinion although it’s always advisable to carry a spare one. Cleverly positioned on the side of the Terror Bass is a DI out using an XLR connector and an effects loop with mono jacks. That’s about it, apart from the fact it’s supplied in the rather natty woven gig bag. Plugged into an Orange SP212 Isobaric cabinet, it’s immediately apparent that this is going to be a winner for Orange. At low volume it sounded suberb, at mid volume it sounded superb and loud…well, you’ve guessed it. First off, there were absolutely no rattles or vibrations from the cabinet or amp chassis, just the pure note, and with the active EQ it’s possible to get all the regular bass sounds that a jazzer, blueser, pit player and rock player would need on a small to mid size gig. It doesn’t do extremes, but then why would you expect it to? You’d be hard pushed to make this amp sound bad. I found the tone sweet and musical, nothing missing in the frequency ranges except for extreme top end as mentioned. Antony Gunter, Orange’s UK Sales Manager told me that the Bass Terror was, “designed in response to bass players asking for their version of the Tiny Terror”. Orange already shared a manufacturing facility in the far east that was producing the Class D technology so marrying up a valve pre amp and a solid state power amp was a canny move, and one that will no doubt prove as spectacularly successful as the Tiny Terror. Here's the blurb on the cab; Smart Power - Built to handle 600w of power, this extremely compact cab from Orange sounds twice as big as it actually is! This really is a 2x12! Orange have achieved maximum power in the smallest possible package by using a new speaker mounting concept they are calling "Smart Power". By mounting the speakers behind each other they are producing the same amount of power without taking up too much space. Because we are talking about bass frequencies and matched drivers, the "muffling" effect of having one speaker in front of the other will be negligible. Looking for something at least 500w , maybe a decent combo, or why? Bearing in mind the value is getting up to £900-£1000. Anyone interested in doing summat? Cheers Lloyd ps, sorry I'll put some pics up soon, but it is unmarked and the cab as a roqsolid cover as well.
  5. In excellent condition, with instructions. Would like to swap for a decent octave/distortion pedal.
  6. Hi guys, I have a VBA 400w Marshall valve amp that is in mint condition, as has been flightcased from new. Believe me , you wont need any help in hearing this bugger! Also, a matching VBC 4x12 Marshall cabinet, that has one or two small marks on the covering. The rig has a tone to die for and is exceptionally loud! I want £1000 for the pair, and that includes a custom made flightcase for the head, a seperate volume box so that you can crank up the amp to get the grind, but keep the volume low, a roqsolid cover for the cabinet and also, if you're close enough (within 50 miles of Warrington), I will include delivery, cant say fairer than that! I can't split them as I need the funds to cover another purchase, I will post some pics shortly, Cheers Lloyd.
  7. Hi, Would you be interested in a flightcased Marshall VBA 400 head and a VBC 412 with a roqsolid cover, I'm in Warrington, cheers Lloyd

IN GREAT CONDITION, BUT WHEN TAKING THE PICS I NOTICED VERY FINE HAIR SCRATCHES ON THE TOP HORN. THIS WAS ONLY NOTICEABLE IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. COMES WITH LAKLAND SOFT CASE ALSO. LOOKING FOR ABOUT £600 OR TRADES POSSIBLY, LET ME KNOW! WOULD BE LOCAL PICKUP AS I DON'T LIKE POSTING GUITARS!
Hi mate, I have a 2006 usa jazz , sunburst/rosewood , is mint. In Fender hard case. I would come to you, interested in a trade? Lloyd

  14.
Can't believe I'm doing this but needs must. I only just got this from Jimmy Elliott in a trade. It's the nicest sounding Stingray I've ever played, the mahogany body and through body stringing seem to smooth out the sound somehow but still enable you to get down and dirty should you wish it. It's pretty close to mint, if I'm really picky (and those who've dealt with me in the past will know how anal I am about bass condition) the 5 ply scratch plate could do with a buff has it has a few swirlies, the machines could do with a polish and there's a bit of NiO deposit on the pole pieces. None of these would take more than an hours 'cleaning' to enable perfection to be restored. The C&G vintage 30th Anni case is also in pretty good nick with just a couple of small marks. So why am I thinking of parting with it. Well, it's not the lightest bass I've ever played, it comes in a shade under 10lbs and despite my love for it after an hour it's killing my old neck injury. I've just got to face up to the fact that I need to stick with well balanced basses less than 9lb in weight (in comparison my Overwater and Status feel like toys). So ideally as a trade I'd be looking for something <9lbs, in the same condition as the Ray, 4 strings, fretted and of a similar value. Something Jazz shaped and a bit special (Sad Metro, Lakky, WHY) would be great but I wouldn't rule out something with graphite. Hit me with some options the worst I can do is respond in the negative. If there's interest I'll post some pics but it looks 'exactly' like this:
Hi mate, I have a mint condition 2006 usa jazz, sunburst/rosewood with black scratchplate. It has a silver anniversary inset on the back of the headstock. It has a black Fender case. It plays brilliantly, just put rotosounds 45's on it, its just not me, you know, I've been looking for a stingray and would do a straight swap. Cheers Lloyd
Hi all Looking to move on my Stingray. It's a black & maple, 2004 model, with the 3 eq. It's in good nick, with the exception of a dink on the top of the headstock (shown in pics). It comes with the Musicman hard case, although this has a dent one corner (which doesn't affect the protection it gives). It's a lovely bass, and plays and sounds exactly as you'd expect it to, but I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that I'm a passive bass type of guy! I'm looking for £700 for this, collected from near j.12 of the M40 (nr Gaydon). I'll post at cost, and I also travel a fair bit with work, so could potentially arrange a meetup depending on where work takes me in the next couple of weeks. Tradewise, I'd be looking for: - 1. Ric (with me adding some cash) - ideally Jetglo, but would consider other colours 2. Sunburst or black US P bass with rosewood, preferably mojo-d (I'd add cash my side for an older bass) 3. Lakland Duck Dunn Any other questions, just ask Cheers Mark.
HI mark I have a sunburst/rosewood 2006 usa jazz bass that I would trade, would that interest you? Lloyd
  16.
Is this the bass floor pod? What are you looking for in a trade? and will you post? Hi Chris, Yes its the bass floor pod, yes I will post. Looking for a decent bass chorus and /or octave.....what you got? Not fussed though, will just sell for £90 (plus postage!) Cheers Lloyd
17. Hi, A line 6 floor pod for sale/trade w.h.y.? Mint cndition in box with power supply, instructions, never gigged. Looking for £90.....or poss trade. Cheers
  18. I have a black bodied maple neck p-bass, got the s1 switching , exc. condition for nearly three years old. Its in a moulded Fender case with all gubbins(fender strap etc....). Got the usual paying slight wear on it, but hey, play it, dont look at it,think its worth around £700 ish. Looking for a straight swap for a usa jazz, also in case, not to fussed about colour, wouldnt mind sunburst though. Duh, just realised pics are on other computer, will put them on in a bit. would consider a lakland as well, or musicman..........w.h.y! Now got pics, have got more if needed. cheers.
  19. would you consider trade for usa p bass?
  20.
Now then - I have an S1 USA Jazz that I got from butlerk02 (Keith) on here - it's a lovely, lovely bass and is as close to mint as you could possibly get, I am just a bit ghey for the Precision tone and the chunkier neck. It's sunburst with rosewood fingerboard and black pickguard and I would like a sunburst/rw, sunburst/maple or black/maple USA Amercian Series Precision ONLY, from whatever year they introduced S1 onwards in the same condition as a straight swap. I'm not desparate to get my hands on a P but I would like one as I do slightly prefer them overall to Jazzes, but no stress if not as I will happily keep on playing this Jazz until I find a Precision. It's currently my only bass and I have a few gigs lined up so I would prefer a meet so I am not without a bass and also why I am looking for a trade and not looking for a straight sale. Sorry to be so specific, but that's the only reason I am looking for a swap. I cant add any cash to the deal at the moment either. I've not actually got around to taking any pics yet but this is Keith's original thread - http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=57807&hl= - hopefully he won't mind me linking through! I'll take some more pics when I get 5 minutes and some daylight. PM me if you need any info.
hi mate, I have two usa precision basses, one of them is a black body, maple neck, s1 with a fender moulded case. Its got straplocks on it and is in ace condition.I can provide pics , I will do a straight swap for the usa jazz and will meet somewhere, i'm in cheshire. my e-mail is [email protected] , go to www.bandphoenix.com and you will see me playing it! cheers Lloyd
